Villain: The Play of Destiny - Chapter 153
Chapter 153
Saturday, August 31st, 2041
Continental Residential Building, Sameran City, Netheria
“I am sorry, Keith…” The girl apologetically lowered her head, still uneasy after everything that transpired today.
“What are you sorry for?” He could not help but chuckle at her irrational worries. “Come here…” He grabbed her hand and pulled her in his arms, hugging her waist and capturing her lips. “Stop worrying about it. I really don’t mind it.”
“But…”
“No one else would mind it too.” He cut her off by sealing her mouth once again.
When they finally separated, Nana’s cheeks were burning up in a blush, and by how her body was slightly trembling, he knew that she needed him to make love to her. Sadly, he had to reach home in an hour.
“Let’s go.” He picked up her bags from her bed and led her out of the apartment where she had been staying with her mother.
Something unexpected transpired today.
Nana’s mother had unexpectedly tied the knot with her boyfriend in the court, and the silly girl was in sheer disbelief when her mother informed her about it.
Dolores also told her that she would be staying with her husband at his home after they return from their honeymoon, and the girl just broke down, thinking that her mother had abandoned her.
However, Keith knew why Dolores had done such a thing in haste. She wanted Nana to be with him without worrying about her, and she did not want Keith to get any chance to get bored of her daughter.
He had sensed it the very first time he had come to this apartment that Dolores wanted him to keep Nana with him at his home.
Her mother was very anxious after she learned about all the women that surrounded him, and she knew that her daughter had no remarkable qualities to compete with any of them. The only thing she could do was either force her daughter away from him, or completely push her in his arms, hoping that he would fall for her. And she decided on the latter, not willing to make her daughter hate her.
Whatever her train of thought was, it was ultimately her loss since he never planned on dumping Nana. He just wanted the silly girl to spend some time with her mother, but if Dolores could not appreciate it, then he was more than willing to keep Nana all to himself.
Keith managed to reach the Demiliore Manor at half past eleven in the night. There were a couple of Maids already waiting for them, and they picked up Nana’s stuff to settle it in her new room.
He grabbed his lover’s hand and then led her inside the house, going straight to where everyone else was gathered for the night.
Nana’s heart slowed down when they entered the lounge that was filled with people.
The lady of the Demiliore Family was sitting on the couch, chatting with the lady of the Angelini Family, and her friend, Celine. Other than them, Amelia, Qingyue, Ayesha, Rebecca, Marianne, Kiara, Ingrid, Aunt May, Viola, Minami, Sibyl, and little Ben were also present in the lounge.
“Hey!” Kiara happily said and walked up to Nana, hugging her, and then Rebecca greeted her too.
Soon the girls engaged her in a chat, not letting her feel uneasy or awkward. They knew what happened today, and so, they were aware that Nana would be living with them from now on.
Keith smiled at the little boy who was sitting on a rug with Minami, holding the beautiful Persian Cat in his arms, who was scared of being around the little black cub and the big mountain lion that the Japanese girl was busy grooming.
Minami was simply in love with cats or big cats in general. She was always found with Milo or Void when she had nothing to do, and these creatures loved her just as much, always chasing after her or searching for her in the Manor.
“Eee!!”
The little black cub sensed his eyes on it, and cutely called out before running up to him.
“Come.” He gently picked it up in his arms and lovingly scratched its head before sneakily feeding it Mana and Aura through his power of Darkness.
Rebecca curiously looked at him. She had caught him doing it several times before, but she also knew what exactly he was doing. Her curiosity was simply about Void, and how special this little cub was that it needed to be fed Mana and Aura in this way.
She wanted to do it too, but she did not have such precise control over her Aura or Mana, and she did not want to harm the little cub by making a silly mistake.
After Void was done feeding, it cutely yawned and then closed its eyes. Keith handed it back to Minami before walking over to his wife, who was chatting with Qingyue and Ayesha.
“Come on!” He sighed when he heard what they were talking about. “At least, don’t talk about business at this hour.” He said and then wrapped his arm around Qingyue’s waist, planting a kiss on her head.
He knew that the grey-eyed girl had been going through a very tough time. She spent almost all her day at her office, working tirelessly to ensure the Businesses she had received in inheritance were not going to fail because of her. And then she had her other businesses that were still in the infancy stage and needed her utmost attention.
The ladies nodded to him and stopped talking about work, and then they all turned to look at the clock.
As if on cue, everyone stood up, and Celine was already smiling brightly.
“Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!….”
Everyone started singing together, and to their amusement, Celine joined them too even though it was her birthday.
Qingyue was the first to step forward and hug her mother, and then all the other ladies in the room followed suit.
After everyone was done wishing her in person, Keith stepped forward and hugged the woman, whose eyes were a little misty with happiness.
“Happy Birthday, Aunt Celine!” He said to her when they separated, and then took something out of his pocket. “I wanted to be the first one to present you a gift.” He said.
Everyone else was going to give their gifts after the cake was cut, but his gift was a little special and playful.
It was a beautiful locket made completely out of Platinum and had small blue diamonds on its crest.
Celine happily accepted it, and then opened it, expecting to find her and Qingyue’s pictures inside, but to her delight, it was not her picture.
Inside the locket were pictures of two stunningly beautiful babies, one was, of course, her precious daughter. But the second one was Keith when he was a cute and beautiful baby.
Celine planted a kiss on the pictures and then merrily laughed when she caught Keith mischievously smiling at her. She knew why he had given her this gift.
“Now you can’t insist that Qingyue was more beautiful than me when she was a baby.” He mischievously said. “It’s right there for you to clear any doubts.”
“Keith!” The grey-eyed girl called him out, expressing her dissatisfaction, but it only prompted everyone else to join Celine and laugh at her reaction.
“I love it!” The grey-eyed woman tightly hugged him and planted a kiss on her cheek. “Thank you!”
“You’re welcome!” He said and then grabbed her hand, leading her to the Multi-Purpose Room they had decorated for the night.
Qingyue had prepared the cake herself, though she did take some help from his mother since she knew almost nothing about cooking. But it came out pretty, and Celine was on the verge of tears when she cut the cake.
She fed it to her daughter first, and then to Keith before feeding everyone present in the room with her hand.
Celine acted like a little child when everyone presented their gifts to her, laughing merrily, and excitedly hopping on her feet and clapping her hands.
She did not even wait for the night to end and opened the gifts right away. She thanked each one of them with a tight hug, not really caring about what she received as a gift. She just loved all of them.
And then she opened the wine she had saved all these months just for this day. The bottle of Romanee-Conti that was made the year she was born. The one Keith had gifted to her when he visited the Lin Manion for the first time.
Under the insistence of the Birthday Star, Keith had to play the piano for nearly two hours, and then he helped her to dance too as Kiara and little Ben played the song they had prepared for her.
Keith also let her take a few sips of Cloud’s Blood Wine, and then picked her up and took her out of the room to prevent her from drinking more of it.
She was already tipsy after just a few sips, and she could not handle more of this potent wine.
Everyone listened to her blabbering for nearly an hour before she tiredly fell asleep after making Keith promise her that he would take her to the concert tomorrow. It was quite silly of her since he had already promised everyone about it. After all, it was going to be one of the most important events for him and his Business Group.
The sun had already risen by now. It was nearly 6 am, and Keith decided to drop Ayesha at her home. The Kurdish girl nervously agreed to it, and her heart was beating anxiously, both in fear and expectation. It had been a while, a long while since he had last touched her…
