Chapter 624: Chapter 362: Destroying You, What’s It to You
The golden sunlight seared through layers of clouds, casting a beryl expanse where the sea met the sky. Tall, majestically erect coconut trees, umbrella-shaped trees, and luxuriant shrubs… Under the brilliant golden sunlight, layered greenery stretched endlessly into the undulating waves.
Fascinating, brightly colored flower trees were speckling a sea of verdant green covering the hills and countryside. Cozy wooden huts adorned with intricate designs were sprinkled amongst the foliage. Each hut marked by fence-netting, creeping up which were flowering vines, their effervescent and splendid blossoms blooming vividly.
Two mountain ranges extended into the sea like hooks, enclosing the beautiful village partially immersed in the sea, to form a crescent-shaped bay. A narrow beach circled the tranquil, teal bay, across which islands of various sizes were scattered like stars in the sky.
It was a beauty so surreal that it seemed unreal, but amidst this captivating sight, were numerous unsightly monsters that entirely interfered with the serenity, dampening what would have otherwise been a rather pleasurable mood.
Hence
Unfathomable thunder erupted from Feng Qing’an’s palm. Clad in a twelve-foot Luili golden body, he made it visible to all. Instantly, amongst the crowd of humanoid monsters with ugly fish heads, shrieks and wails filled the air. Thunder cast its light upon hundreds of monster groups, reducing them to charred remains.
Glowing, eye-blinding thunder blossomed deeper into the sea following the tide’s flow. As the sea water surged, fish-like monsters covered in green scales floated to the surface. Within a few breaths, the sea was strewn with thousands of monsters, filling the air with the unusual fragrance of cooked meat and a burnt aroma.
Feng Qing’an’s action also ignited in the numerous guardian beasts that had followed him onto the golden beach, unleashing their majestic powers. In the blink of an eye, ten thousand more corpses floated in the water.
“Vu! Vu!”
“Oh Hu !!”
Thunderous cheers emerged from behind. As Feng Qing’an, resembling a Bodhisattva in his appearance, turned to look, he saw a group of “people” dressed very simply, cheering exuberantly holding their crude weapons.
When Feng Qing’an’s gaze fell upon them, they immediately bowed, prostrating on the ground, murmuring something in a language Feng Qing’an could not comprehend.
“…”
Although their language was indecipherable, Feng Qing’an was keen on their spiritual intentions and coupled with their poses, it was not hard for him to guess, that these “people” were venerating him as a deity. Especially considering his current look, indeed embodied divinity.
“Heterogeneous Clan!”
Though similar to the Human Race, Feng Qing’an easily noticed the scales, familiar to those of fish, of different shades adorning their faces and necks.
Besides, the weapons they wielded, though seemingly crude, were not without their potency. The fishmen corpses strewn around their dreamlike village was proof enough.
These ugly fish people were as numerous as the surging tides, wave after wave, seemingly endless. In the village, the number of Heterogeneous “people” that vaguely resembled the Human Race, excluding the weak, elderly and infirm, did not exceed a thousand, yet they managed to withstand the siege of these aquatic monsters.
However, their resistance was arduous. Although their attrition rate was rather high, looking at the sheer numbers, had it not been for Feng Qing’an’s timely intervention, the village’s obliteration was just a matter of time.
Now, those monsters had begun to recede into the deeper waters. At this moment, their eyes filled with dread as they looked upon Feng Qing’an,
Even though these creatures, with fish-like heads and humanoid bodies, were evidently not very intelligent, no matter how stupid, as long as they were living creatures, they inherently desired and pursued survival. Hence, retreating was a natural choice when fear took over.
“Hm?”
However, Feng Qing’an’s attention quickly shifted away from these Heterogeneous “people” because he noticed the number of guardian beasts around him was not adding up—Qilin Beast Sen Miao was missing.
As Feng Qing’an followed his Soul Contract connection, he was quickly assured of Sen Miao’s location. Luckily, she hasn’t gone far from his current whereabouts; they were separated by less than a half-day’s journey.
Apart from Sen Miao, both little phoenix Youyou and Ghost Wolf Black Mountain were found by his side. As for Minglong, it was already draped over his body, excluding any possibility of being lost. Suddenly, Feng Qing’an remembered that he seemed to have misplaced two of his treasures.
“Come!”
Feng Qing’an beckoned. In the distant horizon where the sea and sky met, a divine light shot up into the sky, cleaving the floating clouds into two halves, leaving behind a persistent, brilliant trail. Afterwards, a large halberd with a primarily golden hue, adorned with deep blue, and wrapped in thunder and raging torrents, appeared before the youth.
The Thunder Sea Halberd!
“Imprint, come forth!”
The dragon coiled about, the sea was still. The cerulean ocean grew stained with vivid blossoms of blood. Endless wails were suppressed beneath the sea waves, in an instant, the coastal ocean turned a deep bloody red. A thick, raw metallic smell wafted with the waves, spreading deeper into the ocean, attracting countless bloodthirsty sea beasts, and causing a pair of blue eyes to flicker open, revealing an enraged intent.
“Jinghai God!”
An intense aura of aspiration surged forth from these Heterogeneous Clans that resemble the Human Race. As Feng Qing’an descended and felt this aspiration aura, he understood what these Heterogeneous Clans were calling out. He even faintly saw an image of a deity.
It stood atop the sea surge, clad in Dragon Armor, a long sword by the waist, a halberd in one hand and an imprint in the other. His body glowed with Luili golden light, majestic and divine.
“…”
Seeing the deity’s form, which was almost identical to his own appearance, Feng Qing’an slightly twitched at the corners of his mouth. If he was willing to accept their faith, using the Dharmakaya method given to him by East Emperor, he could, on this land, cultivate a deity-guise.
But, he was genuinely reluctant to be contaminated by the Dharmakaya power. Even if he had accepted, the power the Dharmakaya could aptly provide him, with the limited number of this Hetero-clan, to incorporate it into his practice to cultivate a similar powered-guise of his own, would take who knows until when.
“Feng Qing’an, Sen Miao is missing!”
A slightly disheveled little phoenix fluttered her wings and rested on Feng Qing’an’s shoulder.
“I know her current location.”
“Shall we go to find her?”
“Yes, we will leave now.”
“And what about these people? Will you just leave them?”
Youyou spread one of her wings, pointing at the Heterogeneous Clans who were worshiping and venerating Feng Qing’an like a deity.
“They have no concern with us!”
Feng Qing’an swept a glance over them, his eyes calmly disinterested,
“Then why would you help them?”
“I merely found them ugly.”
Merely annoyed by their sight, was his only explanation, without any other reason.
