Sin System: Demonic Harem After Reincarnation - Chapter 117
Chapter 117
The dungeon core was a pulsating ball of reddish black mana. As he came before it, Lena asked from behind, ”What are you going to name it, master?”
Jake looked at her and then turned his head. His attitude made her pout. Jake didn’t care. She would hear it in a few seconds, anyway.
Closing his eyes, Jake stretched his right hand. His mana core and the dungeon core connected with thin tendrils of evil mana which leaked from his fingertips.
Jake imagined the complete structure of the dungeon in his mind and spoke authoritatively.
”From hereon, this place shall be called the Dungeon of Sins.”
Every creature inside the dungeon heard his voice. The intelligent beings immediately recognized his voice while the less intelligent monsters were startled.
”That seems more like a title, not a name!” Lena fluttered her wings and shouted in a cute voice.
”Shut.” Jake pinched his two fingers and showed it to her.
At this moment, a circular ring appeared beneath the dungeon core. It became fully dark in two seconds and an eye-like opening appeared. From there, the evil and chaotic aura of Hell spread all over the core chamber.
”It’s the portal!”
Lena flew to him and sat on his left shoulder, resting her small hands on his hair. Jake’s heart beat wildly as the portal to hell appeared. He felt somehow empowered by the aura of it.
Jake felt the need to turn into his true form, without hiding his wings and tail. The Will of Hell seemed to be inviting him, a demon with the rare bloodline of the fallen Azarel.
”What?!”
An extremely strong gravitational pull appeared from the portal, pulling him in. Jake immediately used flight and spread his wings. He didn’t want to enter the portal as he had no idea on how to return here yet.
Jake immediately got out of the range of the portal and heaved a sigh of relief. As the dungeon master, he knew he could close it with a thought.
Jake examined the Portal to Hell from a corner of the room. All he could see was a thick redness inside. Jake felt like the world itself was trying to close this portal, yet the mana of the dungeon kept it open.
”Opening this portal takes too much mana!” He realized this fact and immediately waved his hand, cutting off the mana supply from the Dungeon Core.
The Portal to Hell, which had just stabilized, was quickly crushed into a single dot by this world. Even that dot disappeared after a while.
Jake controlled his quickly running blood and calmed his heart. If that portal had remained for a few more seconds, he wouldn’t have been able to control the urge to jump into it.
”Master!”
”What was that?”
At this moment, Erin, Irene and Calliya entered the core chamber. They had sensed that extremely vile aura of Hell.
Although they were corrupted and were of the evil alignment, they couldn’t yet handle the Hell’s aura. They were terrified by it.
Lena left Jake’s shoulder at this moment and told them what it was. She also proclaimed that she wasn’t a bit scared during this time. Jake threatened her to open the portal again using [Magipathy], making the little fairy shudder.
”That was certainly quite disturbing.” Minerva came inside. She was holding her staff and ready to cast a defensive spell.
”Oh, you came just in time,” Jake said at this moment, walking toward her. ”I have a lot of things to ask you about the Grimbow Royal family.”
…
Outside the capitol, Ulford. In the afternoon, inside a small forest.
Three people were standing in front of a muscular, bald man who wasn’t wearing anything on his upper body. Sitting on a rock in a prayer position, this man’s lips trembled from time to time. It was as if he was having a divine epiphany.
His eyes were all white, with no mention of the irises and pupils. People may call him blind, but he could see more than a normal man could.
He went by the name of Gilbert. Gilbert, ‘The Farseer.’
”It is not as simple as you think.” The man suddenly spoke, breaking his prayer position.
The surrounding people were all high in status and power, yet they listened to this unranked man’s words very carefully.
”I see something more. Something sinister. It is dangerous. It is vile.” Gilbert’s every word was worth a thousand pieces of gold. He spoke little, but he was always correct.
”What is it?” Ivan, the Court Mage, came forward and asked. ”What about Minerva Dale, the necromancer?”
Gilbert went silent. He seemed to ‘see’ something again. Around him, the other two people looked tense.
”I heard there was a wyvern seen in Karsuda recently,” Ariel Decker, an A-Rank Adventurer, said to the old man standing beside her.
”An adult wyvern?” Marquis Rowan frowned.
For this mission, he, Ariel and Ivan were the only three beings at the 4th Circle. They were confident in taking down Countess Minerva alone, but if there was an adult wyvern, things would get tricky.
Everyone knew a fully grown wyvern would be at the 5th Circle. Even they, who had slain a 7-headed Hydra, only had 60% confidence in defeating it.
”We can always retreat if things don’t go our way,” Ariel said. Her fox ears stood straight as she listened to the sound of the whistling wind.
”I can’t teleport like you, girl.” Old Bradley laughed. He then sighed. This was probably going to be his last adventure with Ivan and Ariel.
The marquis remembered how he met these two eleven years ago. Ivan was already in his 20s by then, but this beastkin assassin was only 16. Even then, she had reached the 2nd Circle at that time.
Eleven years later, both had reached the 4th Circle, catching up to him. It felt like yesterday when they left to kill that hydra. The marquis sighed again.
”A dungeon.” The seer spoke at this moment. ”She is there, but something else accompanies her… I cannot vision it properly, but I can tell it is not that powerful.”
pAɴᴅᴀɴ[0ᴠᴇ]ʟ The Court Mage, the Grand Knight and the Shadow Mistress looked at each other and frowned. They knew about the appearance of a dungeon in Karsuda. It had been almost half a year since it spawned.
What was inside it? Something not so powerful, but able to block a seer’s gaze? They were puzzled. It appeared they really had to visit Karsuda to find out what was really happening.
Inside his dungeon, Jake was unaware of the fact how the hell’s evil aura had warded off a seer’s gaze. He was just learning about the incoming trouble from Minerva and Baron Leo.
