Chapter 329: Memoir Of The Past: A Display Of Absolute Might!
“You have the blood of three different races coursing through your veins in perfect harmony. That in itself is a miracle, but you have also inherited the best traits they have to offer. A large amount of the two Ancient Gods’ divinity has been dumped onto you too. Because of these reasons, you were marked as a living and breathing treasure trove and targeted by Chaos and the Alliance of Evil.” He said to Damien.
“It’s understandable.”
Damien slowly digested his words.
The chance of a hybrid being born was very slim.
After all, when two races get together, there is a very high chance that the fruit of their love would only inherit the bloodline of only one side.
The Baldwin Clan used to rule one of the three Ancient Kingdoms. The Calamity predicted by the Ancestor of their clan, the third son of Yulran and Malaika, came true, and their kingdom was destroyed. A majority of their clan was annihilated overnight. The remaining members of the Baldwin Clan scattered throughout the Far West Continent. After that, for the exact same reason, they declined. The chances of a dragonkin, a being that resembles a human and has both a Mana Gate and an Aura Gate, being born were further reduced due to the decline in the quality of their bloodline caused by intermarriages with humans.
Thus, there wasn’t a lot of them in this era.
So few of them were left in this major world that they could be counted on one hand.
Damien, on the other hand, had inherited the bloodline of the Human Monarch Imperial Family, the Water God Race, and the Crimson Dragon Race against all odds.
He possessed the best trait of the Baldwin Clan, which was to have both an Aura Gate and a Magic Gate and a will to fight against Chaos.
He also possessed the best trait of the Water God Race and the Human Monarch Imperial Family.
The best trait of the Water God Race was to control hydrogen and oxygen atoms and molecules present in nature. The water deities referred to them as the father and mother of water, respectively, as they were the components of water. Lastly, the best trait of the Human Monarch Imperial Family was unbelievably good.
Now that his innate power was unsealed, he had regained his prowess. The traits he was born with had also revealed himself. The divinity of the Two Ancient Gods that was sealed inside him by the Nine Draconian Seals has also come out.
“It’s a blessing for others to be born with so much, but it ended up as a curse for you.” The Water Celestial sighed before he pointed at him and continued, “Usually, a child such as you is taken to the Four Seasons Valley or the Underwater Territory, where their shortcomings are fixed using natural treasures and intense training. You, too, would have been taken there if not for this major world being isolated from the other major worlds. It’s pathetic how I can do nothing but see you suffer like this.”
He felt as if he had failed his grandson.
Damien’s body wasn’t strong.
The amount of power he possessed was tremendous.
It would surely destroy his mortal body.
He only had an Earth-rank physique.
If his physique were to be increased to the Heaven rank, then he would benefit from it all. However, that could only happen if he were to be taken to either the water celestial’s homeland or the homeland of his friend, the Crimson Dragon Yulran. Yet, it was impossible to accomplish as the Far West Major world was closed off from any outside interaction.
“Grandpa, don’t feel sad.” Damien beamed, “If I somehow survive this ordeal, let’s work together to set our world free.”
‘What a sensible child.’
The Water Celestial was affected by his happiness.
Seeing him smile also put a smile on his face.
‘I have never felt this strong before.’ Damien clenched his fist. An undeniable force, capable of crushing mountains and splitting seas, was surging beneath his fingers.
“You already have a lot on your plate. Before burdening yourself with more responsibility, take care of this mess.” The Water Celestial said to Damien.
Damien nodded, “I will.”
He looked confident as hell.
The Water Celestial didn’t reprimand him.
It’s because he was certain that Damien could take them all on by himself.
With the best traits of the Baldwin Clan and the Water Deity Clan, it was impossible for someone as young as Damien to go up against bastards on the same level as aura masters. Baldwins had adopted the specialty of the Crimson Dragons. They grow stronger by purging Chaos. Their innate trait was to continuously grow and grow exceedingly faster the more they fought and killed Chaos. The special trait of the Water Deity race required a lot of training before it could reach the level of controlling blood.
But Damien had a third weapon.
It was the best trait of the Human Monarch Imperial Family.
The woman who had taken care of Yulran and eventually married him was recorded in the clan’s historical record as a normal human who lived near a lake where she came across Yulran. However, that lake was a part of the forbidden area of the human Clan. How could she be ordinary? Not to mention, Bloodline doesn’t lie. It was highly possible that she was the sister of the Human Monarch, or she was somehow related to him.
Back to the topic, Damien’s third weapon was his strongest trump card against them. An entire minute was needed to activate it. Thankfully, he had a lot of time in his hand as he was in endless, where time flows considerably slower than in the Major Worlds.
He closed his eyes and chanted.
“The Light Of The Sun Is Equally Scattered To All.”
Damien’s blood boiled as he finished the first serve, and he felt hot all over.
“Under The Clear Blue Sky, The Rising Monarch Refuses To See Discrimination.”
He closed shut his eyes in pain as he felt hot lava invading him. It wasn’t lava but the blood of his mortal flesh back in the rose garden that had begun to heat up.
“Fists Clenched Once More.”
By the time he uttered the third verse, he was sweating profusely.
“Swords Raised Yet Again.”
Finishing this verse took a lot of strength. It was as if someone had splashed him with a bucket of water. He was soaked wet with his sweat.
“Son of Man, Entering The Battlefield Once Again.”
“A Single Roar Causes A Countless To Fall.”
“Taking a step to move across a battlefield littered with corpses and reach the peak.”
“Closing my eyes to indulge in the sight of the Setting Sun.”
His eyes were closed.<novelnext> </novelnext>
There should be nothing but darkness in his sight, but surprisingly enough, he was able to see an infinitely large cluster of light.
It was endlessly dazzling and as bright as the Sun.
When he laid his eyes on it, righteousness swelled in his heart.
“I Hope When I Open My Eyes Again.”
There was an endless amount of purple specks around that holy white light.
“The World Would Have Become Mine.”
Damien opened his eyes, and the endless was reflected in them. When he finished the last verse, all the purple specks entered the cluster of light. They fused with it, and Damien underwent significant changes.
‘Almost a Millenium has passed since I last saw this.’ The Water Celestial silently took in the amazing sight presented before his eyes. ‘But it still amazes me.’
When Damien’s innate power was unsealed, he naturally understood what they did and how to utilize them.
His third innate ability was inherited from the Human Monarch.
The Human Monarch was known for having the power to “Hold the World In his Eyes.”
To be more specific, he could copy the special effects of any runic item, the innate trait of any race, or the specialty of a world itself.
Damien was his successor. His third innate ability was identical to the Human Monarch.
The World Becomes Mine was an innate trait unique to the Human Monarch Imperial Family. With it, one can directly copy the target’s aura techniques, magic spell module, innate powers, and even bloodline techniques or class weapons. But it was ridiculously costly to use it. Thankfully, Damien had a massive reservoir of divine energy, so he didn’t need to worry about it.
Damien’s divine energy rapidly depleted.
He was in the endless when he activated it.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing reflected in his eyes wasn’t the Water Celestial.
It was the endlessly expanding darkness.
It was the Endless!
He was copying the specialty of the Endless!
‘He is crazy. But I can understand why he made such a choice.’
The Water Celestial almost burst out laughing.
If Damien had copied his ability, he would have gained the fearsome ability to manipulate blood.
Even Crimson Mages had blood in their body.
With this ability alone, he would be able to dominate them instantly.
But he went after a greater power.
The Water Celestial guessed that he wanted to teach his enemies a lesson.
He guessed right.
Damien wanted the world to know there was an insurmountable chasm between him and the others.
And no one should try to cross it lest they want to get hurt.
‘Hopefully, he will be able to succeed.’
The Water Celestial prayed for his success.
Maybe the Water God heard his prayer, but in the very next moment, the fusion process ended, and Damien became a formidable force.
‘With this much power, it’s possible.’ Damien thought. He had gained the power of time.
He looked at the Water Celestial meaningfully.
“I am ready,” Damien said to him.
“See you on the other side.” The Water Celestial showed him a smile and snapped his fingers.
Immediately, Damien’s consciousness returned to his body.
The Water Celestial also stepped out of the Endless and made his way to his grandson.
…
“You will pay the price for killing my people… You evil scums!”
Damien, who was surrounded, opened his eyes.
Reflected in his eyes was a razor-sharp finger that had stopped infinitely close to his neck.
He looked around.
The Crimson Mages and the Chaotic Beings were rooted to their spot.
The rebels were like statues, standing still as if their soul had left their bodies.
Time seemed to have… stopped!
