However, Ji Jingchi was in his prime and refused to back down. He leveraged his connection with Ruihua Media’s young master to change his era name to Ji, signed a contract, and debuted, quickly rising to popularity in the entertainment industry.

This created tension between the two brothers.

Later, Ji Linbai fell in love with Ruan Chu. In support of her, he confronted his own biases against the entertainment industry. Gradually, he came to understand and support Ji Jingchi’s career.

Despite this, Ji Jingchi held a grudge. When he first debuted, Ji Linbai had tried to hinder his progress, hoping he would withdraw. As a result, Ji Jingchi frequently sought Ruan Chu for collaborations, even fostering a couple fanbase with her, which drove Ji Linbai to frustration.
