The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home - Chapter 929 - 929 Yao Tang's Dream
Chapter 929 – 929 Yao Tang’s Dream
929 Yao Tang’s Dream
“You don’t have to rush. You’ll agree to it anyway—one way or the other.” The driver didn’t appear to be upset by her musings. Instead, he started the car again and drove the other way.
While they exchanged a couple of words, they didn’t mention the agreement after that.
Once Yao Ran had arrived at the gate of her house, she noticed that her home was brightly lit. A part of her winced, fearing the worse from her parents.
However, just as she was about to get out of the car, the driver glanced over at her.
“The past is over. The future is simply yours to wield.”
“Hm.”
Yao Ran finally walked away.
On the other side of the world, Cheng Yan was pacing from left to right. He glanced down to see that Yao Tang was still unconscious. He ran a hand up his hair.
While her physique showed that she was fine, she was still sleeping. No one could figure out why.
He had even decided to bring Doctor Zhen from the research institute over. But even then, the doctor didn’t know what was going on with her either.
Yu Chen was at a loss for what to do. A part of him wanted to cry and give up. How was he supposed to know that they would resort to this?
Now, he had been held in an even more difficult position as he was being interrogated and passed around like some sort of prisoner!
Yao Tang, who was in a deep coma, would often try to climb back to her consciousness. However, every time she’d try to reach out, she’d feel someone pulling her back into her dream.
Her dream, after all, was an illusion of all the good memories she had in her past.
There was the quiet valley and the bright blue skies—the very scene that had brought her so much comfort. This one, however, the scene was different—displaying a beautiful but familiar house not far away.
Suddenly, a young girl with pigtails appeared, right in front of an old man with bearded white hair.
That little girl was none other than Yao Tang, and the man beside her was none other than her grandfather.
This was the time before she had met Meng Yang, before she had been abducted.
This was Yingxiu Village.
Her grandparents were outstanding people when they were much younger. After they had taken her in, they were inclined to teach her so many things. This involved fields like medicine, martial arts, literature, and many more.
Yao Tang gazed at herself. She had wished that her younger self knew how lucky she was.
Back then, she had wanted to slack off. In fact, she would secretly look at her grandfather whenever he appeared to be sleeping. And if he was, she’d slowly stand up and ignore his instructions.
Yao Tang suppressed the urge to wince. While she didn’t know then, she now knew just how powerful her grandfather was. Not only that, but he could also hear her with his eyes closed.
As expected, a few peanuts flew to her head.
“It hurts!” The young girl whined. “Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?”
The old man laughed.
“Little brat, just squat down and follow my instructions! Don’t think about getting out this time.”
“But—”
“Time to eat!”
As soon as she heard this, Yao Tang almost jumped to her feet. She raced back into the kitchen.
“Grandma, Grandpa’s being mean again! You made his favorite, right? I’ll finish it so he wouldn’t have anything to eat?”
Old Master Yao chuckled.
“Is that so? Let’s see who gets there first!”
“Charge!”
The pair raced over there with a smile.
“Oh please, you’re already so old and you’re still teasing my granddaughter!” Yu Hong, her grandmother, picked her up and shot him a glare.
“Alas, she’s the reason why I’m still able to run at this age!”
The three of them were all smiles.
This was one of the happiest moments she had in her past life.
Just then, the scene changed. While she was still in the same valley, the atmosphere was much different.
This time, she didn’t see her grandmothers—just her.
Yao Tang had made sure to practice all the techniques her grandfather had shared with her. This time, she also cooked for herself and read all the books that her grandmother had left behind.
Where did they go? She didn’t know.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you very much!
