Chapter 345: Beginning of new beginning (3)
“Please elect me, and I will do my best to develop our city of Docke to be the best!”
“Whoaaa!”
“I, Boltern, will make this to be the best city there is!”
Citizens cheered at the many candidates running for the mayor position. While some of these events didn’t bring much interest to the citizens, some candidates brought over musicians to make it a one-time event, bringing entertainment to the somewhat boring events. Newspapers also listed the history and backgrounds of each candidate and what their policies were.
But of course, there were some regions remote from the Khalodian Empire that were still controlled by nobles. These areas still had very oppressive environments with no one able to bring up ideas to the nobles. However, their numbers were small and were actively put to an end.
The word of world coming to a new change had spread quickly amongst the people, resulting common people to rise up and fight against their suppressors. Nobles did not like how common people reacted to them and sought to retaliate by using force as they always have been doing. But with the Khalodian Empire spreading through the land at enormous speed, its intelligence quickly sought out for uprisings and any oppressions being done by nobles and moved to quell it before it can hurt the area. And of course, all the people of the land enjoyed this new change to come in to effect.
Now, with new system of electing government officials coming into play, people were now beginning to understand how they should move on with their lives and how things will never go back to the old world, where nobles and royal families taking everything was a norm.
The land was now turning to a new era. And in fact, it was becoming better for everyone except remnants of old world’s nobles and royal families.
“Good. The people are all happy.”
Graham spoke and Joonbum smiled. Graham then asked again.
“I heard the goblins are a problem though?”
“Goblins? Well, they are a bit. You know how erratic they are… and they look erratic too,” Halis answered. He, Graham, Joonbum, and a few members traveled saw children playing around what looked like a circus.
As they walked past, Graham seemed to have found someone.
“Oh? That’s Cerrik.”
The person Graham was looking at was a dwarf showing off many tricks to children.
