Jūbei Yamamoto was about to pursue Yan Fei when he noticed this monster. Experienced and knowledgeable, he immediately recognized it as the US Army’s Predator Drone, which had been deployed in great numbers at US bases on Japanese homeland shores, making them a common sight in Japanese skies.
However, the Predator Drone in front of him seemed unusual: It bore no markings of the US Army, and it was somewhat larger than the usual Predator Drones deployed by the US forces.
Just as Jūbei Yamamoto puzzled over why a US Army Predator Drone would appear in China, the drone suddenly dove towards him. He was startled, realizing it was a precursor to an attack, and hastily maneuvered to evade; sure enough, where he had just stood, a violent explosion erupted.
At the critical moment, Yan Fei’s Drone Avatar finally made it back to Shanghai. Earlier, Yan Fei’s chit-chat with Jūbei Yamamoto was not only to extract intelligence but also to buy time, waiting for his Drone Avatar to arrive. Now that the Drone Avatar had arrived, Yan Fei finally breathed a sigh of relief. With the terrifying combat power of the drone, he was set to unleash havoc tonight, eliminating all threats.
Jūbei Yamamoto was terrified. It never crossed his mind that the Predator Drone would attack him. Despite being a powerful ninja from Japan, he felt as helpless as a lamb when facing the technological marvel of an unmanned combat drone with formidable firepower.
With extensive combat experience, Jūbei Yamamoto evaded the first wave of drone attacks and immediately jumped into the nearby Container Terminal. He wove through the tight spaces between shipping containers and employed his Ninjutsu skills to conceal himself, in an attempt to escape the drone’s pursuit.
Unexpectedly for Jūbei Yamamoto, the drone was equipped with quantum radar that far surpassed Earth’s technological level. If quantum radar could detect stealth fighter jets, how could it be fooled by ninjutsu techniques meant to deceive human vision?
Hence the drone flew over the container area and began targeting the concealed Jūbei Yamamoto. He quickly realized his cover was blown and decisively abandoned stealth, deftly maneuvering above and below the shipping containers to avoid the Naval Cannon fire from the drone.
The drone’s quantum radar had locked onto Jūbei Yamamoto and attacked him with its 30-millimeter Vulcan Gun. Yet, as a renowned expert from Japan, his agility, combined with the maze of containers, allowed him to narrowly avoid the drone’s attacks each time at the critical moment.
Yan Fei operated the drone through his Intelligent Brain, continuously firing the 30-millimeter Naval Cannon at Jūbei Yamamoto below. Explosions rang out on the dock as shipping containers, mistakenly hit, exploded and caught fire. Fortunately, these were empty containers without cargo; otherwise, the losses this night would be considerable—this was not Yan Fei’s intention.
Thanks to his skills and the cramped container area, Jūbei Yamamoto repeatedly dodged the drone’s Naval Cannon fire. This was Shanghai’s dock, still brightly lit even in the dead of night, and the explosions soon caught the attention of people in the distance. The Dock Manager and staff were already en route to the scene in their vehicles.
Yan Fei opted for Naval Cannon fire and not missiles out of fear that the Chinese authorities would become aware of the drone’s formidable combat power during cleanup. After all, the impact of Naval Cannons and Missiles differed greatly. A domestic missile attack would undoubtedly prompt an immediate investigation, potentially revealing the secret connection between Yan Fei and the drone, and possibly resulting in Yan Fei being targeted as a terrorist organization by the government.
However, due to obstructions, the drone’s Naval Cannon couldn’t eliminate Jūbei Yamamoto quickly and with an urgency pressing down, Yan Fei no longer held back his strength. He abandoned the Naval Cannon and fired an Air-to-Air Combat Missile at Jūbei Yamamoto.

Jūbei Yamamoto successfully evaded the drone’s strikes, but inwardly he grimaced. He had never expected a US Army drone to appear at Shanghai’s terminal; after all, it was China—why would a US drone be there and attacking him? Could it be that his enemies knew of his visit to China and wanted to eliminate him using the US military’s assets?
While Jūbei Yamamoto exerted all his effort to dodge the Naval Cannon fire, he suddenly noticed a trail of fire shoot up behind him, before the fiery streak made a wide arc in the sky and flew toward him.
Jūbei Yamamoto’s face drained of color as he recognized it as an Air-to-Air Missile from the drone, aimed directly at him. He could avoid the Naval Cannon’s direct fire thanks to the shipping containers, but the Air-to-Air Missile could turn and was exceedingly fast. Once locked on by the missile, his death was certain.
Jūbei Yamamoto ran desperately seeking cover to evade the missile’s onslaught. Guided by the quantum radar, the Air-to-Air Missile relentlessly pursued him and quickly closed in. Soon enough, it caught up with Jūbei Yamamoto and exploded dramatically before his eyes of despair.
Jūbei Yamamoto, as a famed expert from Japan, had exceptional abilities and managed to avoid fatal injury at the moment of the Air-to-Air Missile’s explosion. Yet the sheer power of the missile was overwhelming, and the fierce blast still consumed Jūbei Yamamoto.
