Lin Shen followed those abstract movements for practice, and unexpectedly, it stirred the flow of Base Mutation power within his body, which felt incredibly miraculous.
However, he had previously practiced such Base Mutation techniques that could be initiated through movements, so he wasn’t too astonished.
The only difference was that the Stepping on the Immortal Court mainly focused on leg and movement technique, whereas these movements exercised the arms.
Of course, it wasn’t only the arms being activated; the whole body was involved, but ultimately, the direction of the power flow was toward the arms.
Once all the body’s strength was drawn to his arms, Lin Shen felt an urge to swing his arms and punch, as if it would be unsatisfying not to do so.
Acting on instinct, Lin Shen threw a punch, and then something unbelievable happened.
The force within his punch actually burst forth from his fist like a missile being launched.
Bang!
Lin Shen was about a dozen meters away from the corpse, and yet his punch managed to hit the body from that distance.
Seeing this scene, Tian Xun was both shocked and enraged.
What shocked her was that Lin Shen had indeed mastered the Twenty-Eight Fists, but what made her furious was that the young man was courting death by daring to hit her friend’s corpse.
Let alone a mere Mutator, even if a Nirvana Being dared to touch her friend’s corpse, they would undoubtedly bring disaster on themselves.
“It’s over… it’s over… that kid is done for… he has only himself to blame for seeking his own death… but that Twenty-Eight Fists…” Tian Xun felt her brain flooding with blood, wishing she could slap Lin Shen to death.

How could Lin Shen have known his Fist Power would burst out from the fist, striking the corpse from over a dozen meters away? That just wasn’t scientific, okay?
Not even Ascenders could launch fist attacks out of thin air; long-range attacks relied on Life Base.
There were also some long-distance Innate Skills, but those mostly involved light-based skills, and most weren’t directly harmful, with the more common ones being illusion techniques.
A talent like the Blood Prison King’s, which could bind enemies from a distance, was already exceptionally rare for long-range skills.
Lin Shen’s pure strength-based long-range ability was even rarer; it’s not to say none existed, but they were very seldom seen.
The Spatial Fist Power hit the corpse, and it gradually disintegrated into countless particles right before Lin Shen’s eyes, scattering and disappearing.
In a moment, the corpse vanished without a trace, leaving not even a speck of ash, only the Nirvana Level God-Devouring Beast Egg rolled to the ground.
Lin Shen was dumbfounded; how could he have imagined that his punch would obliterate the corpse?
“It’s over, it’s over. If this was indeed an elder’s corpse from the Tu family and I obliterated it with a punch, how am I supposed to explain this to Tu Xiaodao…” Lin Shen’s face changed unpredictably.
Tian Xun’s face also underwent an array of changes upon witnessing this scene.
She could now be certain that Lin Shen had learned the Twenty-Eight Fists from her friend’s corpse, and that this was indeed The inheritance of the Twenty-Eight Fists deliberately left by her friend.
Even Lin Shen’s final punch on her friend’s body must have been calculated by her friend.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been her friend’s body that disappeared under that punch.
Moreover, the fact that the Hell Gatekeeper had not appeared meant that this happened according to her friend’s wishes; otherwise, the Hell Gatekeeper would have definitely shown up.
“My friend, such cunning planning, your Twenty-Eight Fists have eventually been passed down. But did you ever consider that the one inheriting your Twenty-Eight Fists is but a human?” Tian Xun’s expression was complex.
A human who had inherited the Twenty-Eight Fists—if his innate talent wasn’t too poor, and even if resources were recklessly used, as long as he reached the Nirvana Level, he would surely become a force that could shake the universe.
Although he might not be able to suppress his peers like my friend, he wouldn’t be too far off.
Now, what Tian Xun is thinking is, whether he could learn the Twenty-Eight Fists from Lin Shen.
With her innate skills and abilities, as long as she could master the Twenty-Eight Fists, she might be invincible among her peers in the future.
Lin Shen was stunned for a good while, helplessly shaking his head and giving a wry smile, he put away his notebook and continued walking forward.
Although accidentally destroying the corpse was not his intention, things had come to this point, and if this person really was a senior member of the Tu family, he could only confess to Tu Xiaodao.
Lin Shen did not take the God-Devouring Beast Egg, heeding Tian Xun’s words. Aside from the Archangel’s Sword, he wouldn’t touch anything else. Survival came first.
Tian Xun, seeing how Lin Shen ignored the God-Devouring Beast Egg, was somewhat at a loss whether to laugh or cry.
“Is there really someone that timid, who wouldn’t even be tempted by a Nirvana Egg, just because the inscription reads ‘non-Human clans, do not take’? Does he truly not feel even a trace of desire?”
Lin Shen had his own thoughts. Although he didn’t know what level the Slaughterer King was, since he had the Nirvana Egg and nobody else could take it away, it was highly probable that he was of Nirvana Level.
Even beings of the Nirvana Level died here, which suggested just how terrifying the Hell Gatekeeper on the island must be. He mustn’t lose his life over wealth.
As he continued upward, the number of bones and various objects diminished, but the quality appeared to be better than those he had seen before.
There were glowing armors of various kinds, pet launchers of different styles, and Lin Shen even spotted something resembling a Gatling gun pet launcher.
Lin Shen really wanted to take that gadget, but ultimately, he resisted the urge.
He lifted his head to look up, seeing that the path ahead was still very long. The intervals between the appearance of skeletons were getting longer, sometimes he’d walk for over ten miles before seeing a single set of bones.
Suddenly, Lin Shen saw a corpse.
It wasn’t a skeleton, but a real, fresh corpse. The clots of blood formed on the corpse suggested it was fresh.
“Human…” Lin Shen observed the human who died next to the steps. The person was lying there, clutching something tightly in hand, his body covered with wounds that looked as though he had been hacked multiple times by a blade. He didn’t die from the cuts, but rather bled to death here.
Lin Shen felt a chill in his heart and knew that this person was most likely the one Tian Xun had sent to retrieve the Archangel’s Sword earlier. For some reason, he couldn’t resist the temptation and reached for something beside the stairs, dying in the process.
After glancing at him, Lin Shen no longer paid attention and continued forward.
Whether others could survive, he didn’t know, but he was determined to survive.
Quickening his pace, he continued onward. After an unknown period, he finally saw the Archangel’s Sword.
The Archangel’s Sword was embedded in a rock, with half of its blade sunk in.
Yet, from the exposed portion, one could be very certain it was the Archangel’s Sword.
Next to the rock lay a Celestial’s skeleton. He leaned against the rock in death, and it was unclear whether he himself had thrust the Archangel’s Sword into the rock before dying.
Lin Shen took a deep breath, approached the rock, placed one hand on the hilt of the Archangel’s Sword, and the other hand in his pocket, holding onto a mechanical watch.
If anything went wrong, he would immediately teleport away.
Fortunately, the dangers he had anticipated did not arise, and with a slight effort, Lin Shen managed to pull out the Archangel’s Sword.
The sword was unexpectedly light, so light it seemed weightless, almost like a feather despite its size.
