The volume of the Giant Ring Star is many times larger than the Human Mother Planet, estimated to be at least several hundred times larger.
The gravity here is also much higher than that of the Human Mother Planet, nearly the same as that of the Realm King Planet, or even stronger.
The living environment is somewhat similar to that of the Human Mother Planet; the oxygen content in the atmosphere is higher, and the composition is slightly different.
Ordinary humans can hardly survive on the Giant Ring Star. Even Mutators, upon arriving here, would encounter many problems. They would need some time to adapt and the aid of certain medicinal concoctions to live normally on the Giant Ring Star.
When Lin Shen and his two companions first arrived at the Giant Ring Star, they clearly felt it difficult to breathe. Despite the ample oxygen, it felt suffocating, as if they couldn’t draw air properly.
Their digestive systems were also affected. After arriving here, they started to suffer from vomiting and diarrhea, with headaches as if their brains were being sliced by tiny knives, and their entire scalps stung as if pricked by needles.
They also developed many black spots on their bodies, composed of black velvety fur. The three of them looked like moldy steamed buns, accompanied by fever and edema.
All three were of the Crystal Base Level, and even after drinking special potions, the situation was still not optimistic. For Mutators of a lower level, it would be hard to say whether they could survive.
Ximen Swordsman had originally planned to venture out alone on the Giant Ring Star after teleporting here.
But now, this guy was barely managing between the bed and the toilet, so frail that a gust of wind could knock him over. Forget about venturing out, even walking was unsteady.
Lin Miao wasn’t much better off. Lin Shen initially felt a bit uncomfortable, but thanks to the effects of Evolution Theory, he was fine after lying down for less than ten hours.
“Brother Lin, of all the human Mutators I’ve received, you are the first to adapt to the Giant Ring Star so quickly. Have you been here before?” Yu, who was boiling water and cooking at the entrance of the stone house, was somewhat astonished to see Lin Shen walking out as if nothing had happened.
“I’ve been to planets with similar environments before,” Lin Shen said, surveying the surroundings. “Isn’t the Giant Ring Star a planet under the Celestials’ control? Why are the conditions so poor here?”

In Lin Shen’s opinion, the living conditions here were worse than during the era of cold weapons in human history. The houses were built by piling up stones, arranged in rows, four rows in total.
“The Celestials revere nature, so they prohibit the use of high-tech products on the Giant Ring Star, as well as any construction and factories. These are all temporary dwellings to make do. Most humans and Alien Species come here to hunt Base Variant Creatures and are not too particular about other things,” Yu explained with a smile.
“I didn’t expect the Celestials to be so considerate,” Lin Shen commented admiringly.
“Considerate is for foreign races. The Celestials themselves are not so fastidious. They don’t live on the ground; what the ground is like doesn’t affect them,” Yu said, curling his lip.
“If they don’t live on the ground, then where do they live?” Lin Shen asked curiously.
“Over there…” Yu pointed to the sky.
Lin Shen looked up to see a giant ring in the sky, encircling the planet like a colossal rainbow, floating continuously above.
“That’s the Star Belt of the Giant Ring Star, made up of countless floating ring islands. The Celestials live up there, and some elite Alien Species can also reside there. They have everything they need for eating, drinking, and entertainment. As for us humans, even with money, we’re not eligible to enter those floating ring islands and can only live on the ground…” Yu shared some details about the Giant Ring Star while he continued cooking.
“`
There were many Ascended Creatures on Giant Ring Star, but most on the ground were only Base Variant Creatures. If one wanted to hunt Ascended Creatures, they would need to visit those floating ring islands above the Star Belt, which offered a greater chance of encountering them.
The so-called floating ring islands are actually numerous meteorites of various sizes.
Legend has it that these meteorites originally belonged to another planet, even larger than Giant Ring Star. For some unknown reason, that planet exploded into many fragments, which were drawn to Giant Ring Star like the moon orbits the Earth. Eventually, numerous fragments formed what is now the Star Belt.
Yu said that some of those floating ring islands were even larger than the moon, and many were inhabited by Ascended Creatures, with even Nirvana Creatures purportedly among them.
“Yu, what are you cooking?” Lin Shen had thought Yu was preparing a meal, but upon closer inspection, he realized that Yu was boiling various herbs in the pot.
“These are some of the plants from Giant Ring Star. If you boil and stew them like this, they can benefit humans and alien species who have just arrived on this planet, helping them to quickly adapt to the environment here. Normally, you’d have to drink those potions for at least two or three months to adapt. Of course, you’re an exception. Drink this soup, and you’ll adapt completely in half a month. I’ll give your two companions a bowl each later, three times a day, guaranteeing they won’t have any issues in half a month. After drinking it for two or three days, they won’t feel as bad, and a bowl today will help prevent too severe a burn.” Yu said while ladling out the soup.
“Thank you,” Lin Shen said gratefully as he took the full bowl of soup.
“No need for thanks. It’s only fitting, one Heavenly Currency per bowl,” Yu said with a smile.
“We’ve just arrived on Giant Ring Star and didn’t bring any money. Can we put it on the tab, or use something else to settle the debt?” It was only then that Lin Shen realized these things were not free.
Lin Shen considered this normal, as it was reasonable for someone, with no close relationship to them, to charge for their services.
“Sure, I’ll put it on your tab,” Yu agreed readily, passing the bowl to Lin Shen and continued, “Seeing how quickly you’ve recovered, I bet you can start earning money tomorrow. What level are you?”
“Crystal Base.” Lin Shen replied casually.
“Not bad. As long as you’re not too shabby, earning seven or eight Heavenly Currency a day won’t be hard. That should cover the cost of the medicine.” Yu was jotting down the tab in a little notebook while chatting and laughing.
Lin Shen glanced at his notebook and noticed it was densely filled with accounts owed to Yu.
“Yu, your business seems quite extensive, doesn’t it?” Lin Shen had no idea of the value of one Heavenly Currency, but he saw debt amounts written in the book that went up to five digits.
“Who would come to a godforsaken place like this and put up with bad food and sleep, not to mention living in fear every day, if not to make some money? You could lose your life any day,” Yu closed his notebook solemnly and stored it close to him before he spoke to Lin Shen.
“Is this place really that dangerous?” Lin Shen hadn’t sensed any danger here, nor had he seen any Base Variant Creatures lurking nearby.
“Heh heh, you’ve just arrived and haven’t experienced the nights here yet. You’ll understand when it gets dark. Let me give you a piece of advice.” Yu’s eyes narrowed into slits, and his face twitched as he spoke in an eerie tone, “When it gets dark, never go outside.”
Lin Shen had already noticed that they had been on Giant Ring Star for over ten hours, yet it was still very bright with no sign of nightfall.
In fact, Lin Shen had never actually seen the sun, as if all the light in the sky emanated from the Star Belt.
