Although the Ascenders from the Wan Family can hardly be considered elites as most of them belong to the lower echelons of Ascenders,
the very fact that a Mutator was killing Ascenders was already a shocking affair.
It’s just that because these people were too strong, it gave the impression that Ascenders seemed not so powerful.
Lin Shen originally intended to look for Uncle Lei and the others, but he was stopped by Instructor Mu.
Instructor Mu told Lin Shen that Uncle Lei and the others were all at the Asura Training Camp and there was nothing to worry about at the moment, which greatly relieved Lin Miao.
Even though he knew the Wan Family probably wouldn’t go on a killing spree within the Sea Corn Base, Lin Miao was still afraid of the off chance.
Wei Wufu and Ouyang Yudu followed Lin Shen to the training camp, and naturally, Bai Shenfei joined them as well.
Instructor Mu did not avoid them and directly mentioned sending Lin Shen and Lin Miao to the Giant Ring Star.
Lin Shen, who had been planning to find a place to ascend as soon as possible, was greatly tempted after hearing about the Giant Ring Star.
His previous plan was to seek temporary refuge on his home planet, then teleport to Realm King Planet and not come back for a long time.
Going to the Giant Ring Star seemed to be a better plan than that.
“If we leave, what’s going to happen to Dark Bird Base?” Lin Miao was worried about the people from the Lin Family.
“The Wan Family wants you, killing those who don’t share the surname Lin has no meaning to them. However, to be on the safe side, it’s best to disband them for now. Core members can temporarily stay at Sea Corn Base until you return to the Lin Family later,” advised Instructor Mu.

“When can we come back?” Lin Miao sighed.
“That depends on when the Human Supreme Hall can pass that bill,” sighed Instructor Mu.
It wasn’t something he could influence with his power; it would require approval from more than half of the Supreme Hall members to pass the bill.
The Supreme Hall was composed of human forces that had ventured out from their home planet; most members came from the great families of those alien worlds.
The Human Supreme Hall was established at first because humans found it difficult to survive in the universe, and they could assist each other.
However, as it evolved, the Supreme Hall has now become a platform for various human forces to seek their own interests.
Lin Shen wished to go to the Giant Ring Star, but he had one concern.
And that was about the Primeval Eggs required for Ascension, which they had yet to acquire.
If he went to the Giant Ring Star and couldn’t find Primeval Eggs when he needed to ascend, he would have no choice but to use a regular Ascension Egg instead.
While he could teleport back from the Giant Ring Star, getting back there afterward would be difficult.
Opening a teleporter to the Giant Ring Star just once requires a great deal of resources, and no one would likely do it just for him.
“Instructor Mu, can you give us some time to discuss this?” asked Lin Shen.
“Yes, but be quick. Wan Guliu should have teleported to the Hanji Star of the Wan Family by now, and the Wan Family’s people will likely arrive at the home planet soon. You don’t have much time left,” said Instructor Mu.
“Alright, I understand,” Lin Shen said and then called Wei Wufu aside to speak with him privately.
In a secluded spot, Lin Shen asked Wei Wufu, “Wei, are there any Primeval Eggs left for Ascension in Tiancheng?”
Wei Wufu looked at Lin Shen and said, “Everything, for eggs.”
Upon hearing this, Lin Shen was overjoyed. He understood that Wei Wufu meant he wanted to exchange all of this time’s gains for Primeval Eggs.
The harvest this time was indeed substantial, with more than a dozen Ascension Pets and even more Base Mutation Pets, all high-grade goods. Coupled with the Spirit Base and the Pet Launcher among other things, it amounted to an immense fortune back on the home planet.
But then Lin Shen’s smile faded as another thought struck him.
“Old Wei, tell me the truth, you’re not planning to give me the Primeval Egg you have reserved for your own Ascension, are you?” Lin Shen stared at Wei Wufu, speaking earnestly.
“No,” Wei Wufu shook his head.
Lin Shen finally breathed a sigh of relief. Although those items were valuable, the Primeval Egg reserved for Ascension was priceless.
Truth be told, exchanging those goods for a Primeval Egg meant Lin Shen would greatly benefit from the deal.
That said, all was negotiable, as long as the egg wasn’t the one Wei Wufu meant to use for his own Ascension. Any owed favors could be repaid over time.
After discussing with Wei Wufu, Lin Shen decided to first head over to Giant Ring Star with Lin Miao.
Wei Wufu took the items back to Tiancheng. Once he finished handling affairs there, he would go to Giant Ring Star to find Lin Shen and bring him the Primeval Egg.
After Lin Shen had finished discussing with Wei Wufu and returned to Instructor Mu and the others, he saw that Ouyang Yudu and Bai Shenfei had been taken away by two separate groups.
Their escorted appearance was much like that of prisoners, surrounded by people on all sides, and it was obvious at a glance that these weren’t ordinary individuals—Lin Shen surmised that they were most likely Ascenders.
When Lin Shen looked at Ouyang Yudu, Ouyang managed to turn around and smile at him. He said something, but no sound came out.
Lin Shen guessed at his words by reading his lips. It seemed he was saying, “I’ll come find you again.”
Bai Shenfei also glanced at him, but said nothing before she followed the others and left the training camp.
“What’s happened to them?” Lin Shen asked Instructor Mu with curiosity.
“They helped you kill Wan Family’s Ascender; it’s no small matter. But you needn’t worry, both the Bai Family and the Ouyang Family have considerable influence in the Supreme Hall. The Wan Family won’t be able to do much to them, nor dare to make enemies of the Bai Family and the Ouyang Family at the same time.”
Instructor Mu paused, then continued, “Taking Bai Shenfei and Ouyang Yudu back is mainly for their protection, to avoid any accidents. What about you? Have you made your decision?”
“Could you please convey our thanks to Hai Daxiu for us,” Lin Shen said to Instructor Mu. “We would like to travel to Giant Ring Star and want to know how much it will cost. We’ll try to gather the amount. If we can’t raise it all now, could we pay in installments?”
“I’ve already discussed this with Hai Daxiu. Asking you to pay for the teleportation now would be difficult for you; you can take your time to repay it once you arrive at Giant Ring Star,” replied Instructor Mu.
Instructor Mu sighed and added, “Actually, now isn’t the best time for you to leave the home planet. With the resources from Realm King Planet, it’s more suitable for Mutators to develop here. Going to an Alien World after Ascension would be the better choice. Though the resources on Giant Ring Star are much more abundant than those of the home planet and even Realm King Planet, the mutation resources at the Base Mutation level don’t compare to those on Realm King Planet. There aren’t many planets in the universe that can match Realm King Planet in terms of mutation resources.”
Lin Shen wasn’t worried about this issue—as he had the teleporter, even if he went to Giant Ring Star, he could still enter Realm King Planet at any time.
Lin Shen didn’t think it best to keep this from Instructor Mu, so he explained how his watch could teleport to Realm King Planet.
“So the place your teleporter connects to is Realm King Planet, that’s excellent. You can first achieve a complete Base Mutation Rate on Realm King Planet. After Ascension, the resources on Giant Ring Star will also be a tremendous help to you. Let me think, there are a few areas on Giant Ring Star that would be suitable for your development…” Instructor Mu took the watch to have a look and started planning Lin Shen’s future.
Lost in thought, Instructor Mu absentmindedly fiddled with the watch, which suddenly vibrated—a message had arrived.
As Instructor Mu’s fingers brushed the watch unintentionally touching the message, the message opened and an image was projected out.
