The Ximen Swordsman’s sword had been severed by the Spirit Base Knife, and the Second Turn Ascender, wielding a crimson spear with Life Base, kept attempting to kill the Ximen Swordsman time after time.
The Ximen Swordsman seemed weightless, the sonic booms and gales generated by the spear were enough to blow him away.
As the Second Turn Ascender watched the seemingly limp, wind-borne Ximen Swordsman, it looked as if he could easily be killed; however, whenever the Life Base passed by, the power on the spear simply pushed the Ximen Swordsman away, as if his body had no weight at all.
Unless the spear was devoid of any power, it could not touch the Ximen Swordsman.
This feeling was extremely frustrating for the Ascender, as the Ximen Swordsman and his Life Base seemed like the positive ends of two magnets facing each other; there seemed to be something in between them, and no matter what, the Life Base could not get close to the Ximen Swordsman.
What was even more annoying was that every time his Life Base spear retreated, the Ximen Swordsman would charge again, causing the Ascender great discomfort.
Unable to kill him but unable to ignore him was more vexing than being hounded by a persistent nuisance.
The sword in the hands of Goddess Consort Bai managed to withstand the onslaught of the Life Base of a First Turn Ascender without any damage, clearly not an ordinary item.
Her swordsmanship and movement technique were in extreme harmony with “Talent Theory,” and it could be said that all the years the Bai Family had spent researching “Talent Theory” culminated in Goddess Consort Bai.
The strength and speed she could unleash, along with her movement technique and swordsmanship, made her combat capabilities far surpass those of an ordinary Mutator.
Although having difficulty to slay an Ascender and having a hard time gaining the upper hand, it was also not easy for that Ascender to injure her.
Wei Wufu, who single-handedly took on the Third Turn Ascender Zhu Kailing, was like a walking arsenal of the human world.
His skills and combat experience were incredibly extensive, allowing him to close in on Zhu Kailing, who thus found it difficult to maintain distance. His Life Base became clumsy and was unable to unleash its true combat power.

At first, Zhu Kailing thought to rely on his hard carapace to endure Wei Wufu’s attacks and seize the opportunity to seriously injure him, a shameless tactic that banked on a higher level and stronger attribute to bully Wei Wufu.
But after taking a punch from Wei Wufu, he no longer dared to entertain such thoughts.
Wei Wufu’s Fist Power ignored his carapace defense, injuring his flesh and internal organs.
Fortunately, his Ascended body was robust enough that if he had been a regular Ascender, perhaps his organs would have been shattered by Wei Wufu’s strikes.
Zhu Kailing greatly regretted that he should never have spoken all that nonsense at the start, giving Wei Wufu the chance to close in.
“What sorts of demons and monsters are they?” Hai Daxiu commented on the battle before her, though her eyes couldn’t hide her admiration.
Everyone involved in today’s battle was like a ghost, and even someone like Hai Daxiu couldn’t help but feel moved.
When she was their age, she was nowhere near as formidable.
“These young people should be among the most promising of our home planet’s younger generation to venture out,” Instructor Mu remarked with good spirits and then huffed, “Hai Daxiu, are you still not going to let me go?”
“I am definitely going to let you go, just not right now,” Hai Daxiu replied.
“Hai Daxiu, you really are regressing as you age. All those young people dare to step forward; where has your former spirit gone?” Instructor Mu said, annoyed.
“I’m getting older and they can afford to be reckless, but I can’t afford to act carelessly,” Hai Daxiu replied, not perturbed, and said with a smile, “If they mess up, there are elders to clean up after them, but if I screw up, who’s going to wipe my butt? At my age, I can only be the one doing the cleanup.”
“Old Mu, you’re not young either, you should tone down your temper. If it weren’t for your temper back in the day, how could your Life Base have had that problem? With your talent, how could you have only achieved so much now? Haven’t you learned your lesson?”
“Living is about more than just going far; I just want to walk my own path and see the sights I like,” Instructor Mu declared.
“You’re noble, you’re free-spirited, but when your disciples get into trouble, who cleans up their mess? If your Life Base hadn’t had issues, would the Lin Siblings be bullied by the Wan Family today?” Hai Daxiu’s words rendered Instructor Mu speechless.
Lin Shen and the Six Paths Phoenix joined forces against numerous Ascension Pets and people like Wan Feixiong, pushing the Stepping on the Immortal Court to its limits. Their speed kept increasing, and so did the momentum it generated.
Each step he took carried the sound of thunder and wind, stirring up the surrounding chaotic air currents as if riding the wind and treading on waves. His speed was now on par with Ascension Level, and the waves of air he kicked up grew larger with each step.
The ongoing battles around him only amplified the effect of the Super Base Pattern, allowing him to absorb more and more of the World’s Force.
The Super Base Change continued unabated, showing no signs of weakening from a lack of strength.
Lin Shen alone moved among a multitude of Ascension Pets while also facing numerous attacks from Life Bases, becoming increasingly dominant.
Wan Feixiong began to sense that something was amiss. The three Ascenders and all these Ascension Pets still couldn’t suppress the Lin Siblings.
What was worse, as the Ascenders fighting with Ouyang Yudu met with accidents, the participating Ascension Pets also withdrew from the battlefield, making the restrictions on Lin Shen weaker and weaker.
“What kinds of monsters are these!” The sight of Wei Wufu fighting evenly with Zhu Kailing, who had undergone the Third Turn, sent chills down Wan Feixiong’s spine.
Seeing that the Ascenders battling Ouyang Yudu and Tu Xiaodao had already been killed, he no longer dared to continue the fight.
“Brothers, it’s either they die or we perish today. We can only survive if we kill them. Let’s go all out!” Wan Feixiong roared, seemingly ready for a deathmatch.
But when the other two Ascenders charged forward, he suddenly teleported, retracted his Life Base, and took to the skies to flee, leaving even his Ascension Pets behind.
This move baffled the other two Ascenders who were pumped to fight to the death. Their momentum vanished instantly, leaving them with no will to continue the battle.
“Do you think you can escape?” Lin Shen leaped up, soaring with the wind, his body creating towering waves of air, catching up to Wan Feixiong’s speed.
Wan Feixiong was startled to see Lin Shen chasing him through the sky and, without a moment’s hesitation, threw out his Life Base trying to block Lin Shen.
As a Mutator, Lin Shen lacked the ability to fly and couldn’t leverage the air in the sky.
Just a moment’s block with the Life Base would mean Lin Shen wouldn’t be able to pursue any further.
A damaged Life Base wasn’t a big concern compared to his life. Of course, it didn’t matter anymore.
Unfortunately, he miscalculated. Lin Shen in midair leaped again like a strange bird, dodging Wan Feixiong’s Life Base. His speed only increased.
His body broke the sound barrier, trailing long white air waves behind him, like a white dragon streaking across the sky, catching up to Wan Feixiong from behind.
“Die!” Wan Feixiong, in utter terror and seeing no escape, suddenly produced a Third Turn Spirit Base Knife and swung it at Lin Shen pursuing him.
In front of Wan Feixiong, Lin Shen leaped once more, evading the strike of the Spirit Base Knife like a dragon lifting its head. He stepped right onto Wan Feixiong’s head.
Boom!
White air waves crossed the sky, causing clouds to disperse, and the shockwave exploded, creating wave after wave of clouds in the air.
Lin Shen, standing atop Wan Feixiong’s head, plummeted to the ground, smashing forcefully to create a crater over ten meters in diameter. The earth and stones around it erupted into a ring that rose several meters high.
As the dust settled, Lin Shen was seen standing in the crater, his foot on Wan Feixiong, whose head had burst open like a smashed watermelon.
