Lin Shen charged into the crowd of Ascension Pets with the momentum of Stepping on the Celestial Court, fighting alongside the Six Paths Phoenix against those Ascension Pets.
“Let’s kill him together,” Wan Feixiong commanded his Life Base to bombard Lin Shen, and the other three Ascenders also directed their Life Bases to attack Lin Shen in unison.
A multitude of Ascension Pets spewed forth Life Bases, sending countless streaks of light towards Lin Shen and the Six Paths Phoenix, lighting up the sky with their luminescence.
Explosions and shockwaves ruptured continuously, causing the surrounding space to become unstable, with violent gusts of wind everywhere.
Lin Shen charged into the swarm of Ascension Pets, his movement technique incredibly elusive, darting within the group, inadvertently turning those Ascension Pets into obstacles for Wan Feixiong and his colleagues trying to kill Lin Shen.
The speed of the Six Paths Phoenix was simply too fast, its postures and movements steeped in mystery, making it even harder to injure.
At this point, regret filled the hearts of Wan Feixiong and his companions to the brim—it was clear to anyone that Lin Shen truly could no longer unleash that terrifying punch.
If they hadn’t been so suspicious, if they had just taken action with Wan Guliu right then, they would have already killed Lin Shen, and how could have things turned out like this?
“It’s not too late to kill him now. Don’t worry about the Six Paths Phoenix, focus on eradicating Lin Shen,” Wan Feixiong roared as he directed his Ascension Pets to distance themselves from Lin Shen.
In the distant sky, another huge Dark Bird suddenly appeared, with a graceful figure leaping from its back and plunging toward one of the Wan Family’s Ascenders.
That Ascender had no choice but to recall his Life Base to confront this unexpected adversary.
“Bai Shenfei… How did she get here too… How can there be so many helping that Lin Family kid… Could it be… This is a conspiracy against my Wan Family…” Wan Feixiong felt increasingly uneasy as the thought crossed his mind.
With individuals like Bai Shenfei of the Bai Family, Wei Wufu of Tiancheng, Ouyang Yudu of God’s Love Base, and Tu Xiaodao of the Overseas Super-Base standing behind them, each of their families was someone the Wan Family would not fear but still needed to give due respect.

Now that so many were stepping out to help Lin Shen and oppose the Wan Family, it was impossible not to overthink.
But it was too late for regrets now; they could only fully focus on eliminating Lin Shen and Lin Miao to retrieve the Six Paths Phoenix Spirit Base, which was their only way out.
Step by step, Wei Wufu advanced towards another Ascender, his armor layering upon itself, transforming him into something resembling a heavily armed mecha warrior, making the already imposing figure of Wei Wufu appear all the more domineering.
“The Wei Family has guarded a city for a thousand years; I have always admired that. The Wei Family has always been non-confrontational; why bother getting involved in all this?” Zhu Kailing levitated his Thousand Purples and Reds Life-snatching Hook beside him as he spoke to Wei Wufu.
“If I am here, he is here,” Wei Wufu continued to approach, step by step.
“Do you know that I am a Third Turn Ascender?” Zhu Kailing added.
“Yes, it is you,” said Wei Wufu, choosing Zhu Kailing, the toughest nut to crack.
“I pity your Wei Family and do not wish to harm you, but if you insist on driving me to a dead end, then don’t blame me,” Zhu Kailing’s gaze hardened as the Thousand Purples and Reds Life-snatching Hook transformed into a rainbow light and shot towards Wei Wufu.
Ouyang Yudu wasted no time in idle talk, his body protected all over by White Jade Armor akin to celestial armor, and he directly pounced on another Second Turn Ascender.
That Ascender’s Life Base was a fairly common Sword Artifact, which brought forth thousands of sword shadows, enveloping Ouyang Yu.
Ouyang Yu’s eyes surged with blood, he didn’t even bother to discern whether those sword shadows were real or illusion, and lunged forward directly.
The myriad sword shadows vanished, and a Sword Artifact pierced through Ouyang Yu’s chest.
“Ouyang Yudu, no matter how renowned you are, or how strong your Gift Theory is, you’re just a Mutator and have not yet earned the right to be arrogant in my presence,” the Ascender, looking at Ouyang Yu pierced through the chest, said coldly.
Ouyang Yudu had no interest in speaking at all, his body pierced by the sword, merely paused for a moment before he pounced on the Ascender again mid-air.
The Ascender snorted coldly, intending to let the Life Base Sword pierce through Ouyang Yudu’s body and strike him yet again.
But the sword, trembling incessantly within Ouyang Yudu’s chest, failed to fly out. Thin streams of pale red blood flowed down the blade, not dropping off but instead coating the Life Base Sword.
The color of Ouyang Yudu’s blood was frighteningly light, a mere hint of pink, almost unnoticeable as blood.
The Ascender surged upward, trying to ascend into the sky to widen the gap between him and Ouyang Yudu.
In a battle between an Ascender and a Mutator, creating distance is an absolute advantage, yet now it was somewhat too late for him to do so.
Ouyang Yudu pounced in front of him like a specter, tenaciously grappling with the Ascender, each move disregarding his own safety, intent on a mutual destruction.
In the beginning, the Ascender still had some reservations about the Ouyang Family from God’s Love Base and did not deal a lethal blow to Ouyang Yudu, but he soon realized that Ouyang Yudu was fighting like a madman, attacking without any defense, which made him extremely uncomfortable.
“You forced this on yourself,” the Ascender said, no longer holding back, and aimed a punch directly at Ouyang Yudu’s chest.
As a Second Turn ascended being, how could he fear the strength of a Mutator? Even if Ouyang Yudu’s strength was immense, it couldn’t break through his Carapace.
The target of the Ascender’s punch was the hilt of the Life Base Sword embedded in Ouyang Yudu’s chest. With this punch, the Life Base Sword could directly pierce through Ouyang Yudu’s body and fly out from behind.
His punch struck the hilt squarely, and the Life Base Sword instantly sped through Ouyang Yudu’s chest, but Ouyang Yudu merely grasped his punching arm.
But at that moment, a bloodthirsty smile appeared on Ouyang Yudu’s lips, his hands tightened on the arm, and with a fierce twist of his body, he slammed his back into the Ascender’s embrace in a motion akin to an over-the-shoulder throw.
The Life Base Sword, which had pierced through Ouyang Yudu’s chest, now also impaled the Ascender’s chest.
The Ascender’s eyes bulged; he had never seen a human fight like this before, such moves were unheard of in the world.
Ouyang Yudu was the first to end the fight; elsewhere, Tu Xiaodao confronting another Ascender from afar had not even begun to engage.
“Friend, you’re not a direct descendant of the Wan Family. Why go to such lengths to die for them?” Tu Xiaodao, upon stopping a First Turn Ascender, showed no intention of fighting and went straight into persuasion mode.
“If I fail to kill the Lin Siblings today, the Wan Family from Hanji Star will not let me off,” the Ascender replied, knowing Tu Xiaodao’s identity and hesitating to make a move.
“That’s easy, just don’t go back to the Wan Family. Join me instead. What can the Wan Family from Hanji Star do?” Tu Xiaodao said with a smile.
This left the Ascender hesitating.
“Society isn’t about fighting and killing. You have to follow the right people. With the character of the Wan Family, you’d dedicate yourself to their cause only to worry about being killed by them. Is such a Wan Family worth your life loyalty? Follow me, and as long as you serve me well, you would never end up in such a situation,” Tu Xiaodao continued to persuade.
“But my family is with the Wan Family…” The Ascender hesitated, but suddenly caught sight of a flash of cold light and a Life Base throwing knife buried in his heart.
“You… you…” The Ascender couldn’t believe that Tu Xiaodao was actually a Second Turn Ascender.
What was more unexpected was that a Second Turn Ascender would actually scheme to ambush him, a First Turn Ascender.
“It is the way of the strong to prevail over the weak. Even the lion exerts full strength to hunt a rabbit. Remember this lesson well in your next life,” Tu Xiaodao said indifferently.
