Chapter 253: Even Aircraft Carriers Would Tremble in Fear

Chang Le sat in the XCMG loader, a dark look on his face. He was feeling claustrophobic, due to the narrow space of the cab.
He violently tugged on the collar of his shirt, revealing his gold necklace, which was thicker than a dog’s collar. In front of him, there were two other XCMG loaders, both of which had their high beams turned on and their cabs packed to the brim with people.
He had originally planned to dispatch a loader to demolish the dock, as he couldn’t postpone construction any longer. The vicious and greedy tiger that was the bank loan would gradually swallow him whole, should he allow much more time to pass!
Chang Le had planned on demolishing the dock, then getting his underlings to round up those fellows, thus preventing them from buzzing around the workplace, like flies, and causing trouble! However, he had truly not expected that his opponent would like playing on the wrong side of the law as well, just like him!
The driver of the loader, who he had sent out, was forced out of the loader at gunpoint. While this was happening, the four others, who had accompanied him, were scared away by the gun. So, Chang Le had no choice but to take six of his trusted followers to remedy the situation!
It seems that even the weather mirrored the current circumstance, as the torrential rain fit Chang Le’s current mood to a tee. By the time he had relocated the battle to the inside of the dockyard, nobody would be able to hear any scuffle, even if he set off a bomb!
“Hey hey hey!” Change Le shouted into his walkie-talkie earpiece, “Ma Zi, Wu Bao, Dan Dan, you guys need to move immediately to the front of the backhoe once you reach the entrance to the dock! You’re in charge of shooting and leading the way. The rest of you, drive the loaders in a straight line. When you’re in formation, the rest of you immediately get out and focus on shooting from both sides.”
“Yes, boss!”
“Don’t you worry about a thing, boss!”
The dark night and the mist that was pervading the air provided them the perfect cover. The three loadersm which were moving in a straight line, looked like a heavy and hard pike, unstoppable and invincible.
However, sudden chaos soon erupted! Without waiting for the three loaders to come to a complete stop, Chang Le jumped out of the loader with his chief henchmen, then loaded his revolver with a clang.
“Move forward!” Chang Le yelled a command, as he shot a dark gaze at the main door of the dock.
Five years of peaceful living had not dulled his vicious and aggressive temperament in the least. He would still lead the charge in any important situation! Just as Chang Le was going to direct the loader to smash down the main door, it opened by itself with a creak.
Ping!
Without hesitation, Chang Le pulled the trigger. A plaintive wail rang out, accompanying firing of the red ammunition cases. This made his heart leap with joy.
“Bo… boss, I think that’s Baldy!” When the gun smoke had cleared, the person standing next to him, who was Wu Bao, poured cold water on him.
Within the brightly lit dock, nothing else was moving, apart from the figure tied to the pillar, who was currently twitching, as he had two bullets in his chest! Chang Le’s jaw muscles spasmed, then he finally spat out a command through gritted teeth, “Charge in a horizontal line!”
Upon receiving the instructions, the three loaders immediately changed formations skillfully, with the upraised backhoe protecting the people behind it and in the cab.
Boom. Boom.
The minute the three loaders charged into the dock, the main doors closed automatically, locking them inside.
“Hmph, they’re trying to play cheap tricks with a remote-controlled door!” Chang Le’s expression was dismissive. “The one whose surname is Chen, I’m talking to you! We are all bad people here, so just hurry up and get your as** out here! Today, one of us will die!”
“Beware of your language. You should be saying ‘please,’ not ‘get out!’”
Chen Fan peeked his head out from behind a box-shaped object that was covered with a silvery-grey stiff canvas. He then said, “In order to thank you for coming all the way here, I’ve decided to treat you to your first and last trip to hell!”
“You’ve got some balls!” Chang Le, who was hiding behind the backhoe of the loader, loaded his revolver with a clang, then aimed it towards Chen Fan’s head and said superciliously, “Don’t think your ghost face mask can protect you, as just a single shot to your brain from me would still turn you to pulp!”
“No no, let me formally introduce my equipment. This grey mask is the ‘Predator Facial Armor,’ manufactured by an American MTEK Weapons Systems company. Its impact absorption is exceptional, and not even an AK could penetrate this, let alone the revolver in your hand. Even when one were to be hit by a bullet, the shock would not be too great. Moreover, there would be no damage to one’s skull!”
“I don’t care about your predator beast whatever! Had you just quietly taken the money back, then we wouldn’t even be having this feud today.”
“Mmm,” Chen Fan said in a muffled voice, “Your words are reasonable. Had I taken your money, there would not be so much trouble. But, I was born petty, so I can’t take even the slightest loss!”
“Stop talking nonsense. If you have the guts pick up your gun, then let’s have a shootout. Whoever is the unlucky one dies!” Chang Le provoked him, while looking around wildly to see if there was anybody hiding in a dark corner. An enemy out in the open was not scary, but it was those despicable people, lurking in ambush, who were the ones that posed the real threats.
“Alright then, let’s have a shootout!” challenged Chen Fan.
Several of his chief henchmen speedily aimed their guns at Chen Fan, prepared to pull the trigger the minute he made any sudden movements.
“Wait!” Chen Fan suddenly shouted. “Let me first introduce the weapon that is about to make its grand entrance!”
“Harping on like this, could you possibly be scared? If you are, just call that Wang Bing over to manhandle you, and we’ll call it quits!”
“Have you heard of the Barrett M82?” Chen Fan digressed and sighed. “Unfortunately I have only one, and it’s loaded with ten armor-piercing shells.”
He actually dragged it out from underneath a sniper rifle, as he spoke. While this bunch of gangsters wouldn’t know the exact enormity of the power of this gun, it was not hard to come to the conclusion that the backhoe of the loaders in front of them would certainly not be able to withstand its attacks!
Ping!
When Chang Le saw that Chen Fan had already taken the gun out partly, he was so terrified that he subconsciously fired a shot.
Ping! Ping! Ping!
His underlings, who were hidden at the sides, also immediately started firing. Their tree Type 54 pistols and two revolvers began rapidly pumping out bullets.
The clanging bullets flew, like shooting stars, towards the canvas. The canvas was almost torn to pieces from the assault! An unlucky fellow even hit his elbow from the recoil of the handgun, but the object hidden below the canvas was still in good condition.
“Boss, that thing in front of that fellow is really sturdy. I reckon it’s a big box, welded from thick iron plates.”
“Cease firing!” Chang Le roared loudly. That thing that he used to shield himself from the bullets looked familiar. It appeared to be just like…an armored car!
That is impossible… impossible…
Such a thing only exists inside a television, right? So, how did it get transplanted into reality?
“Are you done?”
Chen Fan peeked out, then said in a slightly mocking tone, “Just like this, you want to goad others into killing people?”
“Hng, let’s see how long you can hide there!”
“I don’t even need two minutes, because I am now preparing to send you to hell!”
Whoosh!
Chen Fan violently tore off the sturdy canvas covering, revealing the wheeled armored personnel carrier hidden beneath it. Chang Le was holding two red ammunition shells in one hand, but before he could stuff them into the strip-like magazine, he suddenly froze, his mouth hanging open.
The five or six chief henchmen around him were also stunned. They had thought that the object under the canvas was a metal box or something similar. They never expected it to be an armored car!
They simultaneously rubbed their eyes, just to make sure they weren’t dreaming.
Who even uses an armored car in a shootout, or a Barrett M82 for that matter?!
Moreover, who actually wears a bulletproof facial armor, one that even an automatic rifle cannot penetrate?
They all had the same thoughts…
Where did this young man come from?
Was he the son of a commander-in-chief?
If he was that great why would he split hairs over just one dock?
“Don’t be shocked, this is just a small appetizer. My ultimate weapon of attack has yet to arrive!” Chen Fan was very satisfied with the absolute silence that had resulted from his big reveal. Then, after guffawing, he roared loudly, “Now, the time has come for you to witness a miracle! What you are about to witness, is something only you lucky fellows in this entire world will get to see. This weapon would make even an aircraft carrier tremble in fear. Using this against you, while simultaneously destroying all evidence and covering my tracks, is my perfect plan!”
“Oh my god, how did we meet such a crazy fellow?” At this moment, everybody stared at him, stunned.
“Hahahaha,” Chang Le laughed loudly. “Come on, I want to see whether this miracle is even rarer than your brand of madness?”
“All of you, open your eyes wide. Don’t even think about blinking!” With a cold harrumph, Chen Fan pressed a switch at the bottom with his left hand.
Clang!
A dull sound suddenly rang out from behind Chen Fan, and the doors, which were keeping the light in, gradually opened, revealing the dark stormy night outside. The roaring sea breeze blew into the dock with a booming sound.
“You want us to look at this torrential downpour?” Even with his death approaching, Chang Le still refused to back down.
“Did you not notice a different feeling to this rainy night?” Chen Fan said nonchalantly, while hugging his shoulders. “Almost like a horrifying odor was wafting over?”
