Rise of the Cosmic_Emperor - 873 Disastrous Crack. Part 1
As Melinda gripped the Monument gem in her fist, she released Tanya from her Life locking spell which proved to be the only thing that had allowed the princess to remain afloat.
Tanya’s eyes were rolled into the back of her head, the crack lines on her skin remained and were clearly detrimental… Her mind had been completely fried by the battle with Melinda in the mental realm as well as the painful extraction of the Monument gem.
Even though her body still had her cultivation as a Semi-saint, she could not harness said cultivation due to her mind being the fragmented mess that it now was.
Melinda searched her with her Saintly perception and found the Nexus stone that Tanya had kept on her person.
After she had secured both the Nexus Stone and the Monument Gem, Melinda descended to the battle still ongoing below.
All Haron experts were dead.
If they had not died before Melinda defeated Tanya, they were surely dead after losing whatever amount of augmentation Tanya had granted them.
The monsters that had dangerously flocked the streets were dwindling in number and although Tanya’s defeat and mental fragmentation made sure there would not be more joining their already massive ranks, that did not stop the already created ones from being active.
The devil beasts were still hard at work devouring as many of the beasts as they could and by the time Melinda descended, the weakest had gained the strength of a four-star saint and they were still growing with more monsters to devour.
At this point, it was already accepted that all who had been transformed had tragically lost their lives and would be nourishment for the Devil beasts who could best put them to use.
Borus had the beasts properly commanded and once they were done chomping down the monsters in the Dane Duchy, they would head to other infested regions and get to work.
With an infinite appetite for devouring, there was no stopping in sight for any of them.
“You got her,” Emily said as she saw Melinda and Tanya.
There was no surprise in her tone. Her words were just a confirmation of what anyone on the scene could see.
Rita shivered when close to Melinda. It was the first time they would be so close together since Melinda achieved harnessing level in the Abstract Ordinance of Life and it put even more into perspective how far the white eyes beauty had gotten from them.
“I did. I’m…” Melinda started to speak when she and everyone else perked and turned towards Sassy whose gigantic body was twitching.
Being connected to Hal’s soul, Sassy’s twitching was a matter of importance that they all took to be referring to things with Hal at the Imperial city.
“Sassy…?”
Rita called to the familiar who then released a cloud of toxic mist which she dissolved into and passed through the massive distance separating them to rejoin her master.
*CRACK!!!*
Immediately after Sassy left the Dane Duchy, a long crack struck across the sky above the Duchy but they were not the only ones who could see it.
All over the Nexus world, to the farthest region, the crack was visible in the skies, and the pressure that came from it was felt by all.

“What’s this?” Emily asked.
“Trouble,” Rita said and while that seemed to be too simple a connotation for the phenomenon that was occurring in their skies, everyone on the scene knew it to be true.
“I need to go,” Melinda said and before either Rita or Emily could question her, she vanished from the scene into the private channel.
Neither of the two was in the dark in regards to where she was going and without a look at each other, they entered the channel as well to arrive at the Imperial Palace which they all knew was the epicenter of whatever the crack in the sky was.
…
A few minutes before the appearance of the Crack…
Team Hal was on top…
Of the thirty Elders that had originally been in the dimension with the Dystopian Quad, only Six were still alive. The other twenty-four were floating lifeless in the Dimension.
Every single one of the so-far surviving Elders, who all ranked from Grand Elder to Sixth Elder, was a Demi-god with at least one Halo and every single one of them had the look of the grand Elder; Stark white hair and aged faces that showed the incredible struggle that had allowed them to reach those levels.
The Life expectancy of a Demi-god is a hundred thousand years and yet, not one of them, including the Grand Elder expected to live that long.
To break through their bottlenecks to become Demi-gods, they had all sacrificed the Life force they had as well as the Life-force they were going to have as Demi-gods.
That was why they were Demi-gods who were not going to live as long as a Semi-Saint (10000 years).
None of them had yet lived for Nine Millenia and they were already nearing the end of their lifespan however, they did not regret the decisions they made.
Ordinarily, the rest of their life span was enough to facilitate the rise of another bunch to add to the ranks of Elders while those ranking immediately after them could use the same technique they had and sacrifice life force for strength.
The plan would have made sure their family was never without Demi-gods, short-lived as they would have been but things could not possibly go to plan anymore.
The six Elders knew now that they were fighting a pointless struggle.
They had been outfought and outthought. The more Elders they lost and were powerless to save, the clearer it was that their family’s destruction was inevitable.
Even now, they were six against four and were still unable to pick up a win.
Elenor had been facing the Grand Elder ever since she slammed him with a wall of Devil energy and the old man had shown an impressive repertoire.
Anyway,
While the Six Haron Elders were being forced to the defensive by the Dystopian Quad, the Emperor and his chaotic clone were getting smacked around by Hal.
After showing that the concept of Inactivity at the level that the chaotic clone had been granted was useless against him, Hal went absolutely ballistic showing off the incredible abilities he possessed.
He had acted like a Devil and infiltrated Amador’s mind to play on his insecurities as a man by showing him the recording he had taken while sleeping with Harlyn.
The mental and emotional manipulation gave rise to an inner demon that was immediately crushed by interference from the chaotic clone after which Hal set fire to Amador’s Haron Bloodline with an ability he had gleaned with his Phoenix bloodline and when that was about to be trumped by chaos, Hal gripped Chaos with his Concept of Infinity.
The battle with Amador was physical with the burning of a bloodline but the battle with the chaotic clone was conceptual and went beyond the constraints of what mortal minds or senses could perceive.
With his burning of Amador’s Haron bloodline very much underway, Hal brought back the memory of what he had done with Harlyn while stoking on the pride and possessiveness that was not lost on the Emperor.
The fact that his wife had been taken by another man was likely something Amador could push aside to focus on the bigger picture but Hal’s manipulation would not allow him to push it aside.
And so, with a simultaneous physical and mental/emotional attack on Amador as well as a conceptual battle with the chaotic clone, Hal had the two dead to rights.
He had them tightly in his sovereign fists and he did not plan to waste any time getting rid of them right there and then but before he could do as he planned, the chaotic clone received a bonding imbuement from the force that had bestowed it to Amador.
With imbuement from Primordial Will, the chaotic clone resisted the conceptual battering it was receiving from Hal’s infinity to reach out and bond with Amador, however, this bonding went beyond the surface-level joining that had previously allowed Amador to simply harness chaotic energy.
The synergy could be felt and together, they strengthened one another.
Amador let his chaotic clone escape the conceptual battle while the clone shattered all mundane emotions that shackled Amador to Hal’s manipulations.
The Emperor lost his emotions and became a being driven only by will… The will to do the bidding of his benefactor.
The force of their joining repelled Hal to the farthest reaches of the created dimension and when he returned, Amador and his chaotic clone had become something else… Something very reminiscent of Primordial Will.
Amador went from seven feet to thirty feet of gigantic proportions. His pupils were still Haron green but his sclera was now the disorderly chaotic hue of an Avatar of Chaos.
His hair went from black to getting mixed with chaotic hues all to better match Primordial Will and in his hand was a massive scythe that threatened to sunder the very order that kept things within the dimension in place.
However, the transformation, as impressive as it was…
*BAM!*
… Did not stop Amador from getting kicked in the face by Hal.
