Rise of the Cosmic_Emperor - 863 Nucleus Of Utmost Importance.
It was a scene straight out of a nightmare for many if not all…
Rune circles appeared in family estates and from them, all oozed nefarious energy that instantly seeped into the bodies of all able-bodied cultivation experts to mutate them into monstrosities that were further boosted by energy from the Monument of Ordinances all to raze whatever was in their path.
Nothing about Tanya’s plans screamed the preservation of the life of any of the denizens of the Haron Family and should she be confronted, Tanya had a response prepared already.
Tanya thought that the Haron family went soft on their subjects and that it was their lax stance that gave birth to so many plans of treason which she felt ultimately culminated in Hal’s crusade against their superiority.
Tanya wished to turn the very denizens that dared to go against the Haron family’s hegemony against Hal and his Cult and at the same time, strike fear and submission into the hearts of all.
She would get the faith of all survivors to be aligned with the Haron family and ascertain that they would never turn ever again.
Tanya had her response prepared but no one questioned her actions, rather all experts of the Haron Family were rallied and ready to attack.
Tanya was straddled with the responsibility of leading a division of Haron experts to the capital of the Dane Duchy, specifically Sapphire City but she had the horde of monsters go forth first.
There was a barrier around the Dane Duchy capital meant to keep Tanya out despite the incredible manners of transportation that she had and as her monstrous horde attacked the barrier, Tanya confidently arrived to put in the final strike to break open the protection the Capital was reliant on.
Her division of Haron experts was still in the Monument awaiting the moment they would be called upon.
Tanya’s face and body were covered in cracks as she appeared to be pushing her body to the very limit of the power of the Monument that she could handle but through it all, she continued to smile and anyone who had any knowledge of the levels past mortality would see that she was smiling at a future of surpassing all her mortal restraints.
Tanya radiated the multi-colored energy of the monument which she added to her Astral energy and used to create a rune circle that she struck against the barrier.
A crack showed on the previously stable barrier and Tanya took a moment to smile during which the monsters never stopped or paused their attack against the barrier.
The next Rune Circle she created and struck against the barrier destroyed it and in poured the tens of thousands of monstrous hordes who continued their one-track goal of destroying Sapphire City.
Immediately the monsters stepped into the territory of the Duchy capital, they were stormed by armies who had been ready to pounce.
There was a sort of understanding with the armies that charged at the monsters that this was a battle that needed to happen. There had not even been an attempt to resurrect the barrier or reinforce it when it was getting torn down.
The monsters outnumbered the armies and that was especially the case considering that there are still more monsters pouring in from many cities all over the Duchy and there were more attempts to cross borders into the Dane Capital.
Should there be a shortage of monsters to do her bidding, Tanya was ready to bring more in with the use of her Monument Transportation.
Anyway, many monsters broke through whatever blockade had been placed and they appeared to be following a flying Tanya’s lead as the Princess approached Sapphire City…

The fog attacks preceded the arrival of the Blood knights all following the lead of Lillian and Olivia who yelled out in unison,
“To Arms!”
At first, they appeared to be referring to the Blood knights they were leading but it was quickly revealed that the order was instead for the Emissaries who emerged mixed in with shadows and moving swifter than the monsters could apparently react to.
The Emissaries were all armed with scythes and as they moved, they made sure to cleave at least one monster, however, they soon found that hitting the monsters was one thing while succeeding in destroying them was another matter altogether.
Head punctures that had been done by fog attacks were not enough to really end any of the monsters and once the tapered fogs had been pulled back, the crusts on the monsters’ skins would just crawl over the hole and seal it up.
“Wha-” Olivia said with her mouth opened a tad and her expression as well as sentiment was very much mirrored by Lillian while the Blood Knights did not have the time to gawk and stare in disbelief.
A particular Blood Knight had jumped ahead into the midst of the monsters ready to swing his Executioner Broadsword and was promptly slammed in the midsection which sent him flying into the claws of another monster who stabbed him in the back before attempting to wring his neck.
The monster had a good hold on the Blood Knight’s neck and said Blood Knight found it hard, and almost impossible, to exert any force with which to break free.
The end appeared near and would likely have come, had it not been for a prompt slash of an Emissary’s scythe which cut off the monster’s hand.
The Blood Knight returned quickly to his feet and only then realized that he had been forced to revert to his normal human form due to contact with the monster. He took on his fiendish form again and made a mental note to avoid getting grabbed while relaying the message to his fellow Blood Knights.
As soon as the monster’s hand got slashed off, a flaming purple arrow whizzed through the air and shot into the monster’s chest and another arrow shot out into the monster’s head by a different lady of the legion, and both arrows combusted together to turn the monster into bits and crumbs that never showed the capability of regenerating.
The two legion ladies were floating in mid-air and they were only the first of the larger part of the force that showed up against the horde.
This was not the entirety of the Legion but it was the ones who could be here as the others were dealing with other matters.
With all ally Duchys also overrun with monsters who were charging and destroying all things in their path for Sapphire City, there was not much expectation for assistance as all Duchys had problems to deal with as well.
Anyway, the monsters at the Duchy capital had a goal which was to ransack Sapphire City and that was what a majority of them did. The Blood Knights as well as the Emissaries were only able to stop a small bit while the spillover still approached the city to wreak havoc on the denizens.
The denizens were in a state of panic and they tried their utmost to escape the calamity that was about to befall them but of course, in the face of such a massive force of individually empowered monsters, there was only so far their legs could take them. However, they did not have to run too far or too long.
The Legion of Hal’s women proved to be the last line of defense and they combined powers to create a wall of Cosmic and Bloodline energy which they thrust at the monsters back and away from the denizens while a portal opened to allow the exit of the trio of Rita, Karmen, and Emily who had their eyes on Tanya but ignored her in action by opening three portals to allow the denizens of Sapphire city to relocate to the Dystopian Continent where they would mostly be welcomed with open arms.
Much as they wished to fight and partake in a battle looking to give an end to the strife finally, the trio of ladies knew it would not be prudent to let battles continue in the vicinity of the weak (mostly) denizens.
Tanya, of course, would not allow this to happen as the denizens were themselves her very target.
The denizens of Sapphire City were who she believed to be the nucleus of the faith of the Sapphirine Prince (Hal) and their genocide was of the utmost importance.
She snapped her fingers and while she had no power against the portal into Hal’s private channel, she could open the portal into the Monument wherever she pleased and she decided to do so right in front of the portals the three ladies had opened.
The five Haron men and women that charged out of the portal were very much prepared and appeared to have been briefed beforehand which had them instantly let out a blast of pressure that repelled Rita, Karmen, and Emily just long enough for them to be able to kill the Sapphire City denizens at the forefront of the bunch.
About twenty fell but before they hit the ground, a bright light shrouded them to heal and return their life forces to the peak just as a cold voice sounded in the sky above Sapphire City,
“Not on my watch,”
As the voice spoke, the five Harons responsible for the deaths clutched their chest with widened eyes and keeled over still radiating wonder at the mystery of how exactly they had died…
