- 439 The Chosen One- Steamed Bun Extinction
Unlike Planet Darvis, the division in Planet Austere was stronger.
The less than 10% territory that was yet to be claimed by the apocalypse beasts was shared by the Skyrim race, the Human race, and the Sheikh race, every other race in the Lizardmen and the Demon Outcasts were minor races.
The hunter union was the only thing keeping the surviving races in Planet Austere from crumbling from within.
Perhaps, if there were no Grade B Supers, the Planet would have long been overrun by the beasts of the apocalypse already.
The distinction between the major and minor races set up a hierarchy and set limit in the hunter union, no Lizardman no matter how powerful they were could rise above the 5th rank in the rankings of the hunter union.
The 5th rank was their limit and it was for only Grade C hunters.
In comparison, when Edgar still worked under the hunter union as a registered hunter, he was also a 5th rank hunter despite being just a Grade D Psychic then with not much combat experience.
As a Grade C Psychic now, if he was still a registered hunter, he would have become a 6th rank hunter by now and this was all because of his race as a human.
This division in the planet also reflected in the standards of living.
There were 3 major settlements in the occupied regions of Planet Austere, the Human territory, the Skyrim territory, and the Sheikh territory.
As a human, of course, Edgar’s work as a rogue hunter was based in the human territory. This was until Legolas’ mission decided to lead to the Skyrim territory, Edgar had no choice but to lead the way.
They waited till it was night before going on the move.

To prevent causing much commotion, Legolas after fusing with his beast carried both humans as he followed Edgar’s directions.
Fused with Bran, the journey was swift as it was through the air.
In just 35 minutes, they arrived at the territory of the Skyrims. This was where Legolas set his eyes on his first Skyrim.
The Skyrims were huge humanoid warriors with silver skin. They had hands and legs like humans, but they had innate wings that can be activated through their thoughts. When activated, they looked like silver humans with wings.

Legolas descended just outside the Skyrim territory.
Outside, while using different preventive measures to mask themselves from being discovered, the 3 of them properly scouted the enemy territory.
After completing the peripheral scouting, Legolas made his decision.
“From what you said, the Skyrim King stays at the very center of the Skyrim territory which is still far from our current location”.
“And from how important the Skyrim King takes the immortals, there’s a high likelihood that he will keep them close to himself”.
“To find an immortal, we’ll likely need to scout deep”.
“We can’t”. Edgar warned with a serious look on his face. “Despite the competition between the 3 major races, there is one thing that they all agree on as hunters of the hunter union, and that is opposing rogue hunters”.
“They believe that apart from the apocalypse beasts, we’re the worst menace to society, they would do everything to kill us if we’re discovered”.
“It doesn’t matter how strong we are”.
“So long we’re not Grade B powerhouses, we can’t win”.
Legolas was amused. “Who said we’ll be fighting against them?”
“Besides, who even said we’d be discovered?”
“Huh?” Edgar was confused.
Legolas smiled. “Let’s just say I’m used to infiltration missions”.
“Also…” He smirked. “I came prepared”.
“It’s time to return to old ways”. He brought his ingredients out.
Legolas brought his cauldron out on the spot and started concocting a potion, he counted as he put the ingredients into the cauldron at specific intervals.
“10 Ginseng fruits, Drake Fire leaves, Mud Water leaves, Cafu weed, 10 Elysium seeds…”
Just about a minute later, with a sizzle, the fire was put off.
Compared to before, after learning under George for so long, Legolas’ skills as an alchemist were now more proficient than ever.

Congratulations! You have concocted 3 bottles of the Ultimate Man Potion!
You have received 50,000 Experience Points!
—-
Legolas grinned as he held the 3 bottles.
Though at the lower levels, it was not really too relevant, concocting potions was a famous side quest through which players get more experience points.
It was almost the same with the mechanic class. The more mechanic equipment and robots that they build, the more experience points they are rewarded with.
This was made to help curb the growing need for experience points as the requirements to level up increase ridiculously with each upgrade.
Seeing the suspicious potion, Heimdall’s eyes widened in surprise. “Is this…?”
“Yeah”. Legolas grinned. “It’s the Ultimate Man Potion”.
“It’s the reliable potion that I used when you lot still saw me as a kid”. Legolas grinned. “Now, the finishing ingredient that we need is the blood of a Skyrim”.
Legolas looked ahead at the busy district full of Skyrim warriors.

Infiltrating silently, Legolas returned with an unconscious Grade E Skyrim. Taking a bit of his blood, he mixed it with the potion that he already concocted.
A violent reaction came from the mixture but it soon calmed down.
His virtual interface lit up another notification.

Congratulations! You have made upgraded the Ultimate Man Potion formula!
New transformation face detected: Skyrim!

“Take”. Legolas gave them one bottle each. “Drink”.
Edgar held the bottle with a suspicious look on his face. “Is it bitter?”
Legolas chuckled. “Who knows?”
A few minutes later, while a certain Skyrim warrior remained unconscious outside their territory, 3 strangers disguised as Skyrim warriors infiltrated the Skyrim territory without triggering any alarms.
Edgar’s unique psychic powers took care of the rest to enable their smooth infiltration. That same night, Legolas’ investigation started.
Using the bars and inns as a starting point, they started collecting information about any clue related to the immortals.
“I never thought I’d get to grab a Skyrim ass one day”. Heimdall reveled in this information gathering phase as he perfectly emulated the character that Legolas instructed him to play as, he enjoyed it.
‘Just yesterday, I was living my listless life in the Nightmare Army’.
‘Who knew that I’d be grabbing the ass of an alien from another planet now?’ He felt a sense of serenity. ‘Life is really so random man; I should just flow with it’.
In the process of emulating his character, he got drunk from Skyrim rum.
While Heimdall had the time of his life, Legolas finally got the information that he needed, he whispered to Edgar. “In the Skyrim King’s town, there are reports that his immortals are the elite army”.
“Compared to the immortals in Planet Darvis, those that are here are stronger, most of them are already Grade D Supers”.
“This deters everyone from causing trouble in this town”.
“But thankfully…” Legolas grinned. “I’m not everyone”.
“What’s your plan?” Edgar narrowed his eyes.
“We cause some commotion”. Legolas’ eyes gleamed.
“And then what? The Skyrim King’s immortals have never betrayed him”.
Legolas smirked. “That’s because others don’t know the real currency that they crave. Well, I can boast that I’m one man that have that currency which they crave so much. Chill, I just need 1 immortal to pave the path”.
“Through one of them, I can enter the rest”.
Edgar silently looked at Legolas. “I trust you”.
A few minutes later…
BOOM!
After a loud sound, smoke rose from a corner of the Skyrim King’s town, shocking everyone present as a rogue hunter attacked in the town.
Moving rapidly through the shadows like a dark specter, Heimdall caused a lot of trouble as he injured multiple Skyrim warriors in the town.
“Someone actually has the guts!” The Skyrim warriors were stunned.
“It’s a Grade C rogue warrior!” They were even more shocked.
But, shortly after, the Skyrim warriors were angered. “He’s challenging the authority of the King, attack him!”
“Let’s capture him for the King!”
As a commotion started in the streets, it didn’t take long before the elite secret army of the Skyrim King showed up. Donning metal armor, they looked like samurai of the old era as they charged out.
Legolas tsked. “Damn, this Skyrim King is really tyrannical, managing to tame these mischievous fellows and turning them into soldiers”.
“Well, sorry, your tyrannical rule ends today”. Legolas smirked.
Legolas targeted a player.

One of the players charged out alongside the others, but even as he got prepared to attack the rogue hunter, he paused on seeing his game interface light up with a strange notification.

Legolas went all out, using up his current daily limit of Experience Points.
This Player’s eyes widened, they literally started drooling.
“10…, 10 million Experience Points?!!!”
“I ACCEPT!”
Legolas grinned. “Currency is king!”
