With a call, Little daze soared into the sky.

The Nine Jade Palace disciples crowded around the plaza, looking at little daze with envy.

“Such a gorgeous mount!”

“I know right, I want one too.”

“That’s a Snow Winged Cloud-Treading Horse.” Somebody said. “A very rare precious beast. Even a spirit realm elder might not have one.”

“Wow, senior sister Lu is really strong. I heard she got that snow winged cloud-treading horse during her first spring hunt.”

“She’s extremely lucky! Who would have expected the baby beast she picked up to be a Snow Winged Cloud-Treading Horse.”

Amidst the commotion, little daze started to gets further from everyone’s sight before disappearing.

The secret place isn’t near either. Even little daze who could fly took two days to reach.

“Here?” Lu Mingshu explored the area before stopping on top of a mountain range that couldn’t be seen clearly from the sky due to its fog.

It was already December, and Jade West has been snowing non-stop. Every mountain peak is covered with snow. Lu Mingshu had a great memory, and even if it couldn’t be considered as photographic, it rarely failed her. She was sure that this was the correct place, but there seemed to be nothing right here.

She pondered for a moment before ordering little daze to fly down. “Let’s go down and take a look.”

Little daze neighed and dashed towards the mountain range.

As soon as he got the hang of flying, that was probably little daze’s favorite thing to do.

Lu Mingshu got down from Little daze’s back and combed her hair before patting her. “You can follow me if you want or fly at your own pace. But keep close to me so that I can save you in time before an assimilation realm beast eats you.”

Little daze enjoyed eating but not being eaten. It blinked before following Lu Mingshu quietly.

After half a day had passed, Lu Mingshu realized that something was out of place. What she saw was just an illusion.

She rolled her eye and let out a cold laugh. Courtyard leader Qi seemed to be a pleasant person who would have expected that he would be so cunning. He didn’t give her the tool to find the earth spirits, neither did he tell her about the illusion. ~If I know nothing about spells, I would be stuck! If I don’t get an earth spirit successfully, who would believe my strength? Everyone would think I’m just a flower vase, even though I broke through at a young age.~ 

It would bring her more trouble if she went to look for trouble with courtyard leader Qi. He could pass it off as him being forgetful. Whether he meant to hide it from her or not, it would make Lu Mingshu look like someone who enjoyed stirring trouble.

But if she conceded defeat and asked courtyard leader Qi for help, she would never be able to lift her head up in front of him.

~He really thinks I’m nothing, huh?~ 

Lu Mingshu let little boo out.

“Ka!” Little boo jumped out. “Master, what do you need?”

“Little boo, can you break the illusion?”

Little boo’s eyes blinked as it scanned the illusion. “Master, do you want to destroy it or just go through?”

“…..Just go through.” Even though Lu Mingshu was unhappy with courtyard leader Qi, it wasn’t right to destroy the whole illusion placed here by the sect.

“Ok.”

A glimpse of light could be seen as little boo fished out numerous bronze parts. Within no time, the illusion faded away, and a path could be seen.

“Ka, it’s done.”

“Thank you.”

“No need. Your word is my command.” Little boo’s eyes blinked.

Lu Mingshu called little daze over before and place little boo on her, “let’s go.”

Little boo held onto little daze and combed its mane. “Brother daze, I haven’t seen you for half a day yet you’re still so handsome!” Little boo tried to sound fancy.

“Neigh!”

“Why don’t you fly? This is too slow.”

“Neigh!”

Lu Mingshu listened to their conversation with her jaw open…..~Brother daze….? Whatever, as long as they’re happy.~ 

Along with little boo’s chatter, they reached the entrance to the mountain.

But as soon as she stepped forward, a strong force sent her flying backward. Lu Mingshu looked up to see a giant Green four-hoofed beast standing at the entrance, staring at them with blood-red eyes. Seeing it, Little daze moved a few steps back, while little boo kept quiet immediately.

Even though there weren’t any Yokai around in Lu Mingshu’s world, beasts with high cultivation had intelligence too. Lu Mingshu dared not offend it. She slowly took out the badge and threw it at the beast. “I’m a nine jade palace disciple who is here for an earth spirit.”

The beast grabbed the badge with its mouth and threw it back at her after checking it.

With that, the boundary blocking the path was gone, and the beast now stood aside, making space for them to enter.

Lu Mingshu entered first, followed by little boo and little daze trailing silently behind her. It wasn’t known if it was because they were frightened, but both were surprisingly quiet.

When the beast was gone, little daze looks extremely relieved.

Little boo looked around, eyes blinking. “Wow, that beast was scary!”

“Yeah.” Lu Mingshu hummed, scanning her surroundings.

This area seemed completely with wild grass growing everywhere, but the geographical position was undoubtedly extremely good.

She tried to search for it, only to realize what her master said was true. It was impossible to find it without any help. She was much more sensitive than most, but she still couldn’t sense anything.

~Whatever, I’ll just get some help.~ 

“Little boo!”

“Ka!”

“There are spirits here called the earth spirit. They are found underground and take human form. Can you help me search for them?”

“Yes.”

“Thank you.”

“How many do you need, master?”

“As many as possible.”

“Ok.”

Little boo started looking around his bronze bucket, and he took out two gems. He opened his face to reveal the structure beneath. Little boo changed the gems that represented its eyes to the other two and closed his face back before starting the search.

After no time, Little boo shouted. “Ka! I found one.”

Its limbs grew extremely long as it stuck its arms into the ground. When he took his arm out, a small man with a long beard was in his hand.

Lu Mingshu took out a sack. “Put it in here.”

This was a binding spirit pouch, which she exchanged from the heavenly wheel. No spirits would be able to escape the pouch.

Little boo placed the earth spirit trying to escape into the sack before he continued looking around again.
