After watching them leave, Qin Zhigu also stepped into the rain. Just as he got into his car, but before he started it, his phone rang. Looking at the screen, he saw the name, “Cai Yiren”. He immediately put his phone back down.

She wouldn’t fall too deeply, or end up like her mother.

After ending the call, seeing that Qin Zhiyou had not returned, Lu Weixi massaged her temples, feeling a slight headache. She got up, planning to make some hot milk. As she opened the door and ventured out, she caught a glimpse of Qin Zhigu on the phone at the end of the corridor. Not giving it a second thought, she went back to her room with her warmed milk.

Qin Zhigu indeed was on the call. He was answering a call from Cai Yiren.

Cai Yiren had been harassing him for the past few days. Eventually, even a person as patient as Qin Zhigu was forced to block her calls.

However, Cai Yiren had grown smart. She used someone else’s phone to call him, catching him off guard, and he picked up the call.
