He wanted to reach out and pull her close, but Lu Weixi slowly moved back.

Then, she stood up.

In the face of Qin Zhigu’s confused and hurt eyes, she slowly shook her head, “I apologize, I’ve never considered a divorce. I appreciate your feelings. We’ve already ended. I’m now Qin Zhiyou’s wife.”

Why had she been so despondent, why had she and Qin Zhiyou maintained their marriage for five years? No matter how troubled and flirtatious Qin Zhiyou was, he was the only one she depended on for the past five years. But what about Qin Zhigu, the one who claimed to love her?

Back then, he had refused to communicate, to meet, to listen to her. He gave her the cold shoulder. She was too busy with household chores and her mother’s illness, she didn’t have the time or energy to argue with him. Over these five years, he had known that he had been led astray by Cai Yiren, and had wronged her and Qin Zhiyou. He also knew that nothing had happened between them on the night of Yuanying Festival, it was all his speculation. But what did he do? He wallowed in self-pity abroad and sought to heal his own wounds, now he actually dared to come back and ask her to leave with him?

“If you don’t want me to hate you in the future, you can continue to harass me. But I won’t respond. Even if Qin Zhiyou and I do divorce one day, this is the end of it. Goodbye.”

After Lu Weixi said this, she turned and left.

Outside, the sun was a bit strong, she looked up at the sky, feeling slightly dizzy.

Her phone rang. It was a call from Qin Zhiyou.

Lu Weixi answered, “Hello?”

“Where are you?”

Qin Zhiyou had left early in the morning, even though it was Sunday, he had to work.
