My Dual-Cultivation System - 62 Visiting the Village Head's House
The crimson-haired beauty took the role of the leader as she announced her plan to her teammates. Yue Yan had no issue with her being the leader as he was only here for Bing’er.
The trio made their way toward the center of the village as they were looking for the village head.
As they were walking, they spotted a young man coming in their direction, walking on the same street as them.
Yue Yan approached him, a friendly smile on his face as this was a good chance to find out about his query.
“Excuse me, Senior. We are Students of Tianhai academy and we’re looking for the village head. Do you know where we might find him?” He asked, giving their introduction since students were coming here for the special task so the villagers should naturally know about them.
The Young man looked up at Yue Yan, his eyes shone hearing they were from Tianhai academy.
“Oh, So you guys have come. We heard some special students would be coming to help us but didn’t know they would send someone so young. The village head lives just down that street, in the big house with the red roof.”
“Thank you, senior.” Yue Yan expressed his gratitude towards the young man and set off in the direction he had indicated, along with the Shangguan sisters.
After walking for a few minutes, they reached the house with the red roof, they could see that the house was bigger compared to the others.
With a sense of eagerness, Yue Yan with the girls approached the door and knocked.
A moment later, the door to the village head’s home creaked open, showing a warm and cozy interior.
An old woman with a kind face appeared in the doorway, her eyes were astonished as she spotted Yue Yan and the shangguan sisters standing outside.
“He was telling me that a lot of kids would be coming today to visit him from Tianhai Academy. Please, come inside!” The old lady said as she was aware of their identity.
The silver moon village didn’t have anyone of the trio’s age who would be wearing such extravagant dresses to visit them so it was easy to guess their identity.
Yue Yan and the Shangguan sisters stepped into the home, grateful for the invitation from the kind lady. They were immediately struck by the warmth and comfort of the space. A fire crackled in the hearth, filling the room with a restful glow, and the smell of freshly baked bread wafted from the kitchen.
The woman led them into a spacious sitting room, where the village head sat in a comfortable armchair, reading a book. He looked up as they entered, his eyes shone as he recognized them.
“Welcome to the Silver Moon Village. I’m glad you kids are here,” He said, rising to his feet.
The village head was an old man in his sixties as his hair was gray. He had a scrawny build but his eyes glinted with wisdom.
The old man gestured for them to take a seat on the nearby sofa, and they obliged, settling into the cushions with a sense of comfort.
Ling’er sat between the past life lovers like usual and didn’t mind being near Yue Yan as she had been making him her fake boyfriend along the way whenever she spotted Wang Min.
“Can you tell us what problems the village is facing?” Ling’er asked, her voice topped with respect for the village head.
“There are a few problems we are having but most importantly it’s about our ration stock. Recently a group of black-robed people invaded our surrounding areas but they didn’t attack the village directly. We asked the Tianhai academy to help us as one of the elders is a close friend of mine.
He sent some high-level spirit rankers from the inner court to chase away the black-robed people but there were other issues that were caused by the black-robed people during the time they camped in the dense forest.
These problems include our food from the Agricultural land as the crops were stolen and destroyed by those black-robed men, Most of our livestock being stolen, and also the collapsed boulder near our river streamline that’s blocking the water coming inside the village’s periphery” The village head narrated the situation they were facing, his voice sounded bitter as he explained them the issue one by one.
“So how can we help you with this problem?” Ling’er asked, confirming the doubt she had.
p-A- n-d-A-n-0-v-e-1、(c)om It wasn’t feasible to solve the food issue for the whole village with the help of just three of them with the resources they had so she knew there was more to it than what the old man explained.
The village head leaned forward, his gaze intense as he spoke. “As you know, our village has been facing a food shortage because of what the black-robed people have done. Our ration from the storage would end soon, and it’s already becoming increasingly difficult for us to feed everyone.
He paused, taking a deep breath before continuing “To fix this problem, the Tianhai academy decided to hold a special task for second-year students. As I have the information, Twenty-five teams have been formed, each tasked with finding a solution to feed at least one family in this village for three months. Additionally, We have given a spatial ring that would store all the food you students bring for us so it can keep it fresh and wouldn’t spoil.”
Yue Yan, Ling’er, and Bing’er listened intently, their expressions calm as they absorbed this information.
They had come to the Silver Moon Village hoping to help, but they had never expected The academy to plan their special task in this manner.
Their Academy could’ve fixed this issue by buying a sufficient amount of ration from the city and giving enough resources to the silver moon village but they decided to turn it into a competition.
