By the time they found the nearest drugstore, Gu Ming parked first, opened the car door, and respectfully said, “Mr. Li, what medicine do you need? Medicine for stomach pain? Let me buy it.”
The man dressed in black got out of the car with a poised figure, his sharp and handsome face looking stern as he took long strides and told him, “You stay here, I’ll buy it myself!”
Gu Ming had no choice but to watch him enter the brightly lit drugstore.
“Ding-dong!” The glass door of the drugstore had an automatic sensing system, which opened the door automatically when it detected someone.
The female clerk on duty heard the noise at the entrance and quickly paused the drama on her phone, stepping forward to greet, “Hello, welcome!”
When she clearly saw the face of the man walking in from outside, she was instantly stunned.
Wow, so handsome!
How could this man be even more handsome than the male lead in the idol drama she had just been binging? With that aura, the height, the physique, could he be some celebrity?
No way, a celebrity coming to their store to shop?
She couldn’t think of which celebrity it could be in the moment, and after a brief lapse, she approached with a racing heart, her voice unintentionally softened, “Hello, sir, what would you like to buy? I can make some recommendations for you.”
Li Shengxiao glanced over the medicated products lined up in the drugstore, his lips barely touching as he asked in a husky voice, “Do you have any cold medicine?”
Damn, even his voice is so pleasant to listen to!
This man is just too perfect!

“Yes, yes, yes!” The female clerk’s heart was beating fast, she scarcely dared to look at him anymore, her hands and feet numbing as she pointed to the cold medicines and asked him, with her heart pounding, “We have a few types of cold medicine here, including cold effervescent powder, cold capsules, and cold oral liquid. Which cold symptoms do you have? I need to know if you have a viral cold or a common cold. If it’s a viral cold, you might need an additional box of antibiotics. For a common cold, just the regular cold effervescent powder plus two anti-inflammatory pills would suffice. If it’s not severe, just the cold effervescent powder would do.”
Li Shengxiao’s brows gradually furrowed. He didn’t know the specific condition of the little woman, and after a moment of silence, he looked into the female clerk’s eyes, “Pack one of everything for me.”
“Huh? Did you say everything?” she asked uncertainly, pointing to the medicines on the shelf and drawing a circle with her finger, “All of these, as in every type of cold medicine here?”
She had seen customers who weren’t sure which medicine would work better and bought two kinds. She had seen customers who couldn’t swallow capsules and bought oral liquid instead. But she had never seen someone who wanted to buy cold medicine and insisted on getting one of each kind.
Medicine isn’t like other things; there’s no value in stockpiling it. What would he do with so much cold medicine?
“Yes, all of them,” Li Shengxiao gave her a definitive answer.
The female clerk’s expression was indescribable, uncertain whether she should be happy about encountering a big spender, or shocked at the possibility that she’d run into a weirdo.
As she complied with Li Shengxiao’s request to take one of each kind of cold medicine off the shelf, she couldn’t help but say, “Actually, if you just tell me your symptoms, I could recommend the right cold medicine for you, you don’t need to buy so many.”
“These medicines also have expiration dates, they’ll be wasted if not used in time.”
She didn’t know about Li Shengxiao’s identity, she simply felt that spending hundreds of yuan on regular cold medicines for a minor cold was overkill when one could simply visit a doctor, and it might even cost less.
