MMORPG: Crowd Control - 255 Date
The kiss wasn’t long and it was just for a few seconds, but Samantha could tell Lei Zhen wasn’t in the mood for the kiss when it happened.
He was still not in his right mind. Even after she had pulled her mouth away from his, he was still confused, almost as if he couldn’t comprehend the situation.
“Don’t look at me like that. I merely did what I had promised.” Samantha smiled and poke his forehead softly.
“But I wasn’t focusing…” Lei Zhen pouted like a little kid.
And before he could even continue his next words, Samantha leaned back in her seat, but still allowed Lei Zhen to lay his head on her shoulder.
“You are not getting another kiss, Lei Zhen. I can tell you would have used your tongue if I actually kissed you while you were focused.” She added, teasing his naughty behavior.
Regretfully, Lei Zhen could only accept her shoulder as a consolation prize in the end. He wasn’t lying when he really felt nothing in the kiss since his mind was still blank at that moment.
“Will I ever get a chance to kiss you again in the future?” He asked, looking at her face from below.
“Stop getting cheeky when I know you have regained your usual composure for now. We’ll talk about your problems once we return to my condo, and don’t think about escaping.” Samantha warned and didn’t bother looking at him.

The Lei Zhen she knew previously had never been so mentally broken down.
He had always remained optimistic while struggling to make ends meet to pay for his sister’s medical care and his living expenses without relying on his uncle’s money.
Not to mention, the brightness and hopefulness on his face when he used to ask her medical questions regarding his homework, seemed to have all vanished in a flash.
It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that the current Lei Zhen was a thin piece of paper, and once soaked wet, his physical and mental state would all collapse simultaneously.
“Sorry for being quite problematic when today is meant to be fun,” Lei Zhen apologized once the movie officially began.
“It’s fine, even the calmest person would have a breakdown once in a while. And that’s what makes us human.” Samantha replied softly, letting him know that she wasn’t bothered by his breakdown. As a doctor and a good friend of his, she would obviously not mind him listening when he’s going through a difficult phase.
Lei Zhen no longer said anything and merely turned his attention to the large movie screen.
Unfortunately, it seemed like he might have overexerted himself or something because within 30 minutes into the movie, Lei Zhen fell asleep on the comfort of Samantha’s shoulder.
It was a great thing that Lei Zhen doesn’t have a snoring habit. Otherwise, he would have become a joke in the event of sleeping in a movie that every actor in it was watching, including the directors.
Though, the same can’t be said for Gordon Jack and the other two directors since they had regained their body movement 5 minutes ago and attempted to sneak away through the backdoor. Their strategy of sneaking away failed miserably because the reporters were already waiting there in anticipation, snapping pictures of them.
After this incident, even if no one judged Gordon Jack on his sexuality, it would be difficult for him to continue in the entertainment industry once Jessica and Bella came out to expose them to drugging their beverages.
Time slowly passed by, and the movie finally finished with Lei Zhen sleeping throughout the entire duration.
“Lei Zhen, wake up. The movie is over and your two friends are coming here.” Samantha quickly moved his body a bit to wake him up.
“The movie is over already?” Lei Zhen opened his eyes slowly and said weakly, clearly still in sleeping mode.
“Yes, so remember the key points I’m going to tell you in case Jessica comes to ask you about the movie.”
With that said, Samantha hurriedly summarized the movie plot for Lei Zhen to understand. And sure enough, Jessica and Bella came over to them once they finished thanking the directors and producers of the movie.
“Lei Zhen, what did you think about the movie? Did it excite you or surprise you in any way?” Jessica didn’t waste any time and asked about his thoughts on the movie instantly.
Lei Zhen smiled brightly and copied what Samantha had told him word for word to Jessica, acting as if he didn’t fall asleep and was watching the movie the whole time.
Thanks to Samantha’s professional analysis skills, Jessica was impressed with Lei Zhen pointing out all the important key points.
“Wow, you even understood the direction that the directors and producers were looking for. Truly unexpected.” Jessica clasped her hand and praised.
Lei Zhen scratched his head, making an awkward laugh as he made a side glance at Samantha. He was feeling quite guilty for taking credit from her, but since Samantha didn’t bother to expose him, then he could only accept it and owe her another favor.
“Anyway, the movie was a success, and thanks to Doctor Samantha’s assistance, I wish to know if you are interested in joining us for the aftermath dinner,” Jessica asked, revealing her real intention for coming over.
Before Lei Zhen could even reply, Samantha intervened and shook her head.
“Sorry, Jessica, but Lei Zhen and I are kind of on a date. We have plans afterward so we can’t join you at the aftermath dinner.” Samantha said, shocking not just Jessica but even Lei Zhen as well.
‘A date??’ Lei Zhen exclaimed inwardly, completely astonished by her speech.
Meanwhile, Jessica flashed an understanding look at the two of them before giving them an ok hand sign.
“I see, then we’ll talk later,” Jessica said, bidding them farewell. Since she had already gotten her phone number, there was no point in interrupting them.
