MMORPG: Crowd Control - 241 Changed Sides
Everyone was speechless when they heard Lei Zhen sighing and feeling completely disappointed at the outcome.
“You seriously investigate me all on your own will, Cecile?” Lei Zhen couldn’t help but ask her again to confirm it.
And when Cecile nodded her head, feeling confused by his behavior, Lei Zhen fell into a slump.
“Uncle Lei Quan, just releases her, but as for Carlos, I’ll let you decide how to deal with him.” Lei Zhen turned to Lei Quan and addressed him as uncle, not bothering to play the stubborn attitude.
If Cecile was investigating him under the order of either person of the Shan Clan, then Lei Zhen would have a legitimate excuse to ask for information regarding them, including how they were involved in the car accident.
Unfortunately for him though, everything was acted on her own and was unrelated to Shan Zhikong nor Shan Lin.
Meanwhile, Lei Quan was somewhat happy with this outcome.
It was the first time in a long time since Lei Zhen had addressed him as uncle and requested him for something.
And all that simply to have Cecile released? Lei Quan was glad to do him this favor to mend their broken relationship somewhat.
“Release her and bring her back properly without hurting her.” Lei Quan instructed the men in an authoritative tone.
“Wait, please release Carlos as well. He was merely acting under my instruction.” Cecile quickly pleaded, unwilling to leave without Carlos.
After all, they had gotten into this mess because of her haughtiness and underestimation of her opponent. She wasn’t going to be unloyal and leave Carlos for death.
Lei Quan ignored her pleading and merely gave a small glance at Lei Zhen, clearly asking him for his input.

Feeling the stares from numerous people, Lei Zhen was somewhat irritated.
This was the main reason why he hated to come back here because people would actually stop and wait for him to make a decision. He would have rather lived in idleness and not have to deal with these types of situations. “Why the hell are you all looking at me like we’re in some kind of mafia situation?” Lei Zhen twitched his mouth and said.
“I don’t care what happened to him whatsoever.” He added, wanting to get up and move to a more quiet place.
As for Cecile’s pleas, Lei Zhen really couldn’t care less about her. They had only met once and she was already trying to scheme or investigate him. Such actions were already considered a red flag.
By letting her go, he was already being polite in respect of Tang Qiaolian since their rivalry seemed to be of goodwill and not the kind of “I kill you” type of rivalry.
Just when he was about to leave the scene, Cecile suddenly brought up a topic that caused him to halt his steps.
“Lei Zhen, didn’t you want to know something about Shan Zhikong? I have some information that should be worthy enough to trade it for Carlos.” Cecile said, hoping that this would be enough to rouse his interest.
When they first met, Lei Zhen had brought up the names of Shan Zhikong and Shan Lin. And although she might not know why he called those names out, she was sure that Lei Zhen wanted to learn more about them.
Sure enough, Lei Zhen turned around and stared at her.
“If your information is truly worth that price, then so be it. However, if the information is nothing important, then don’t blame me for being ruthless.” He warned coldly.
Ever since he learned of their involvement, his perspectives of them were quite serious and he wouldn’t forgive anyone playing a fool of him with fake information.
He would rather have them hide it from him well, just like how Lei Quan had been doing it for years.
Meanwhile, Lei Quan was starting to become nervous when Cecile still managed to have this trump card to convince Lei Zhen.
“Wait a minute, I’ll just let you off with this warning, but beware that I’ll be watching the two of you if you dare to do it again.” Lei Quan said, seemingly trying to shoo them away before Lei Zhen could get a chance to gain more information. The less he knew, the better it was for his safety and sanity.
Alas, Lei Zhen crackled his knuckles as he glared at Lei Quan. It was clear that he wasn’t letting this opportunity go, and the tension could be sensed by the other men. They were clearly placed in a difficult spot since both people weren’t someone they could offend.
Previously, the snipers and bodyguards that had accidentally glared at Lei Zhen with hostile eyes, were quickly beaten and punished by Butler Gongshun Ren.
Thus, the men could only pretend their eyes were temporarily blinded and their ears were currently deafened so that they could not see or hear anything.
“Uncle Lei Quan, didn’t you say you will let me decide this? So why are you trying to take control all of a sudden? Are you trying to slight or humiliate me right now in front of everyone?” Lei Zhen asked with a smile that really wasn’t much of a smile.
“I was merely thinking that you might still be too young to be handling these types of situations. Therefore, just let your uncle handle this situation for you while you take a rest and enjoy Butler Gongshun Ren’s cuisine.” Lei Quan responded swiftly.
“Nah, I’m already an adult so don’t call me young. In fact, you are the one getting older, so as an elderly, you should take a rest and let the younger generation handle it.”
“Nephew Lei Zhen, that’s not right. Uncle is still very vigorous.”
“Seriously? I haven’t seen any women in the mansion around and considering how you used to play with celebrities and hot babes before. I doubt you are that vigorous compared to the past.”
