MMORPG: Crowd Control - 240 Interrogating
Lei Quan was quick to his work the moment Lei Zhen asked to have Cecile captured as well.
And it didn’t take long for the people that worked under Lei Quan to kidnap Cecile away. The action and scene of how it happened were all documented and could be seen by them.
“It’s a good thing that my nephew isn’t horny and ignorant like most young masters in high society would do. I would have been disappointed if you told me to let her go simply because of her beauty.” Lei Quan chuckled softly.
Despite his chuckling tone though, Lei Zhen was sure that Lei Quan was testing his character and behavior from his previous question.
Although Lei Quan was definitely asking him for suggestions and would comply with his decision, Lei Zhen was sure that he would still do something behind his back secretly.
He was merely asking out of a goodwill of him and wanted to make him think like he had a choice and power in this decision.
“I merely want you to interrogate Cecile,” Lei Zhen calmly said.
“I doubt she had many insidious thoughts toward me when we only met once. What I’m truly interested in is if she is acting on her own or was she under someone’s command? After all, the Shan Clan had a hand in my father’s death, and I’m pretty sure you have long known about this.” He added, glaring at Lei Quan.
“Ah, the tea is getting quite cold.” Lei Quan ignored the glare of Lei Zhen and casually said something off-topic.
Lei Zhen sneered inwardly when he saw Lei Quan acting ignorant once again.
Every single time when he tried to enquire about the previous car accident, he would get zero response, almost as if they were covering something big that he shouldn’t know.
‘Hateful… why can’t they just spill the beans?’ Lei Zhen screamed inwardly, feeling frustrated as he continued to pour some more tea to drink. He was hoping that the tea could calm his emotion that was fluctuating quite a lot.
Time slowly passed by, and during this time, Butler Gongshun Ren had already finished cooking the Lobster Fried Rice that Lei Zhen requested.
Alas, there wasn’t enough time for him to enjoy it much when the men under Lei Quan returned with Cecile covered in a large brown bag.
Cecile’s muffled voice could be heard as she was wiggling inside the brown bag, trying to get out of there. The man holding her glanced at Lei Quan, who seemingly nodded his head in response.
With that nod, the men understood and released Cecile who was from the bag. When the light shone at Cecile’s eyes, she was first traumatized by the sudden kidnapping, but when her eyes laid upon Lei Zhen, she instantly knew what was going on.
This wasn’t a kidnapping and ransom demand type of action. In fact, she could barely believe someone was able to kidnap her so efficiently when her house’s security was quite advanced as well.
It would be a dream for some nobody to easily kidnap her from the house without her detecting anything wrong at all.
“W-What’s the meaning of this, Lei Zhen? Did you want to meet me that badly?” Cecile quickly started the chat with the person she was somewhat familiar with, acting innocent and trying to lessen the tense atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen was unamused as he kept a deadpan expression and merely spat out the name, “Carlos” to her.
With Carlos’ name being exposed to the open, Cecile wasn’t a fool to not comprehend what the name held. She was clever and knew exactly what everything meant.
“Who told you to investigate me? Was it Shan Zhikong or was it Shan Lin who placed the order?” Lei Zhen asked coldly. His tone was quite frightening, completely unlike his usual demeanor which was mild and friendly.
Cecile held a dazed expression as she wondered why those two names were brought up.
“I wasn’t ordered by anyone.” She responded honestly.
And she continued, “I was just curious about your identity and wanted to know why you were quite close to Tang Qiaolian. She’s my competitor so I wish to know everything about my competitor to not be at a disadvantage again.”
“…”
Not to mention Lei Zhen, even the other men were in disbelief to see just how competitive Cecile was that she would go far and beyond to investigate anyone that was in close contact with Tang Qiaolian.

Cecile nodded her head.
“I wouldn’t dare to lie when I’m in such a situation.” She smiled bitterly, reminding them that she was still in her pajama clothes and was barely presentable to others. It was a good thing that her pajama covered all her body parts and wasn’t transparent or light in the thickness of the clothes.
Lei Quan narrowed his eyes, but when the device he was using to detect if a person was lying or not indicated that she was speaking the truth, he was in complete disbelief.
Who would have thought his warning worked perfectly fine and nobody was actually trying to go against him? However, it seemed that he would need to modify something since people still dare to secretly investigate his nephew.
“Hmm, you say that, but I heard from Carlos that he had subtly warned you not to investigate my nephew. So little missy, do tell me why you did not heed his advice and stubbornly decided to go through with this plan?” Lei Quan asked, his expression cold and ferocious.
Upon being asked that kind of question, Cecile was left aghast.
Was she supposed to say she was adamant in wanting to know who Lei Zhen was and how she planned to rope him into her side?
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen suddenly sighed exhaustively, feeling weary that he once again failed to clutch onto a clue that led to Shan Zhikong.
“What a disappointing outcome…”
