MMORPG: Crowd Control - 238 SS Nutrient Solution
Lei Zhen remained completely silent as he stared at Lei Quan, his supposed uncle, even if they aren’t really blood-related.
And seeing his silence, Lei Quan continued to smile, not minding his attitude and behavior.
If a simple greeting was enough to mend their broken relationship, then it wouldn’t have taken them years to even meet each other physically.
“Sigh, this nephew of mine is still brooding over the past it seems.” Lei Quan smiled and shook his head, turning around to head inside the mansion.
He was sure that standing by the entrance wouldn’t change much of the situation given that he knew what kind of mindset Lei Zhen was having.
Butler Gongshun Ren could only sigh inwardly at this development, though he was not a bit surprised by this outcome.
‘Sigh, I bet only the Young Lady could mend this broken relationship, but life is truly unfair to her.’ Butler Gongshun Ren thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen slowly headed into the mansion, feeling a bit familiar with the atmosphere surrounding the mansion. Although he had not been here for years, he still recognized most of the furniture and decoration around the mansion.
There were next to zero things being altered since his last visit. Despite them being the same furniture and decoration, everything was still neatly arranged and cleaned properly.
When Lei Zhen’s footstep paused in front of a wall, Butler Gongshun Ren quickly pointed at the painting that was hanging on the wall.
“Do you remember that painting on the wall, Young Master Lei Zhen? You and the Young Lady used to love that painting so much that the two of you tried to snatch it sneakily.”
Butler Gongshun Ren was clever and slick, using this as an opportunity to reel in some of his memories to create a nostalgic feeling.
And Lei Zhen obviously knew what Butler Gongshun Ren was up to when he brought up Lei Qingxuan’s name to the table.
However, knowing it and not knowing it didn’t make much of a difference because he could already imagine the two of them admiring the same painting in the past when his eyes were already on the painting.
Glancing at the familiar painting, Lei Zhen could remember Lei Qingxuan tugging on his arm, dragging him, and telling him that they should steal the painting for themselves.
‘She sure was a naughty one.’ Lei Zhen smiled bitterly, missing the time that they had played together.
After reminiscing for a few more seconds, Lei Zhen shook his head and made his way toward the living room area. It might have been a long time since he was here, but he still remembered the layout quite vividly in his mind.
Arriving at the living room, Lei Zhen already saw Lei Quan sitting down on the couch, sipping some tea. He was reading through some news in a holographic projection and merely gave a glance when Lei Zhen entered.
Butler Gongshun Ren was quick on the uptake to pour some tea for Lei Zhen as well and tried to be slick to put it next to Lei Quan.
Alas, it was a futile effort because Lei Zhen didn’t bother picking up the tea and sat on a couch that was the furthest away from Lei Quan.
Taking a seat, Lei Zhen began going straight to the topic without beating around the bush. “I’m sure you should have heard of a new Nutrient Solution being invented with your vast connection. Therefore, I’m here today to ask if you can get a few of them, not for me, but for my sister, Lei Qingxuan.”
Lei Quan smirked slightly as he closed the holographic projection that he was reading and stared at Lei Zhen.
“And what makes you think I would hand it over when you have been labeling me as a heartless man?” Lei Quan asked, seemingly curious as to what Lei Zhen would say to respond to his question.
“I know you’re a heartless man, but Lei Qingxuan is currently in a coma and the person that would be using the SS Nutrient Solutions. Hence, whether my opinion of you matters or not does not have any factor here.”
“Heh, what a clever response. Shifting the topic to Qingxuan and saying that it’s for her usage without taking up any responsibility.”
Hearing that, Lei Zhen twitched his eyebrow slightly, and the atmosphere started to turn intense once again, causing much distress to Butler Gongshun Ren.

Meanwhile, Lei Quan scoffed and stared at Butler Gongshun Ren, seemingly asking him why he was such a blabbermouth with his expressions alone.
Butler Gongshun Ren pretended that he did not understand his question and continued to smile at Lei Zhen.
“I know you don’t like to be here, but please give me some face today and have dinner here. It’s been a long time since you have tried my cooking, and I would be disheartened if you would deny a request from this old man.” Butler Gongshun Ren said, faking a depressed expression to guilt trip him.
And as much as Lei Zhen wished to return back to his original place already, it would be rude of him to reject Butler Gongshun Ren’s request.
All these years, he knew what Butler Gongshun Ren had done behind his back. Not to mention, his fabulous cooking skills were learned from him as well.
“Then I wish to eat your specialty Lobster Fried Rice. Till now, I still can’t seem to grasp the fire level to make the rice crispy but also not overcook the lobster meat in the wok.” Lei Zhen took the cup of tea on the table and sipped some of it as he told him what he wanted to eat for tonight.
