MMORPG: Crowd Control - 237 Lei Quan
When Lei Zhen outright told Butler Gongshun Ren to not attempt to convince him to live with Lei Quan, his tone was quite harsh and cold.
Despite the harsh tone from Lei Zhen though, Butler Gongshun Ren knew he could not rush things to mend the broken relationship between Lei Zhen and Lei Quan.
Thus, he could only smile reluctantly and went to the driver’s seat.
Lei Zhen also knew his tone was harsh and that Butler Gongshun Ren was not at fault, but he was already trying his best to regulate his emotion.
It was only when he lost everything did he realize that all those wealth and luxuries meant nothing to him at all. To go back to Lei Quan meant going back to the lifestyle that he had already given up was a difficult task.
After a few seconds when Butler Gongshun Ren began operating the flying car, Lei Zhen apologized for his previous tone.
“Sorry, Butler Gongshun. I didn’t mean to be rude to you.” He said, glancing at the window instead to avoid eye contact.
“Hoh, I don’t recall hearing you being rude at all, Young Master Lei Zhen.” Butler Gongshun Ren smiled and didn’t mind the tone of speech one bit.

And just like that, their journey was serene and peaceful as time slowly passed by. During the journey, Lei Zhen fell asleep since Butler Gongshun Ren’s driving skills were amazing, almost as if he was pushing a baby’s cradle to put the baby to sleep.
By the time Butler Gongshun Ren had stopped the vehicle and turned around, he smiled slightly at the dozing Lei Zhen.
“If only Master Lei Quan could stop being so stubborn. The Young Master Lei Zhen wouldn’t have needed to suffer in such a bad neighborhood and all those terrible circumstances.” Butler Gongshun Ren sighed softly, feeling his heart ache to see Lei Zhen suffer when he shouldn’t and doesn’t have to suffer.
Alas, it seemed stubbornness and determination were running through the blood of the Lei Clan, even if Lei Zhen was not blood-related to them. Throughout all these years, Lei Zhen was already considered an integrated part of the Lei Clan.
Shaking his head, Butler Gongshun Ren got out of the driver’s seat after parking the vehicle. He then proceeded to head toward the door Lei Zhen was dozing near off to wake him up.
“Young Master Lei Zhen, we have arrived.” Butler Gongshun Ren said, keeping a low and subtle tone to not startle him.
Lei Zhen slowly opened his eyes when he heard Butler Gongshun Ren’s voice.
“We arrived already?” He asked in a somewhat dazed tone. “I thought it would take another 10 minutes or so.”
“You must have forgotten how advanced flying cars are nowadays, Young Master Lei Zhen. Even if one lives 100 kilometers apart from each other, it wouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to go in between.” Butler Gongshun Ren chuckled softly, opening the door for Lei Zhen to exit.
As Lei Zhen got off the vehicle, he could feel multiple eyes staring right at him, almost as if he was prey that was just spotted by predators.
Meanwhile, Butler Gongshun Ren’s expression changed slightly when that happened as he glared back at those that were using a hostile stare on Lei Zhen.
Instantly, the glares retracted, almost as if they weren’t existing in the first place.
“Apologies for that, Young Master Lei Zhen. it seems some of the bodyguards need to undergo more training for inconveniencing you.” Butler Gongshun Ren bowed his head slightly for the offense.
It was taboo to use such a glare at the members of the Lei Clan, and if possible, Butler Gongshun Ren would have wished to excuse himself to enact the punishment right away.
“It’s fine, Butler Gongshun.” Lei Zhen raised his hand and halted him from having any other thoughts.
“I haven’t been here for quite a long time, so it’s not a surprise that I’m not recognized. In fact, it would have been quite weird if they remembered me.” He then jokingly said, not minding the offense at all.
“That’s absolutely not true, Young Master Lei-“
“It’s alright,” Lei Zhen cut him off and shook his head. “Seems like my uncle is already waiting at the front door, so let’s not continue this discussion any further.”
After saying that, Butler Gongshun Ren realized Lei Quan was truly standing by the door, overseeing them from afar.
Without a choice, Butler Gongshun Ren could only comply and wait to punish them later on. The priority now was to have the two of them meet, and not some ignorant bodyguards that could be replaced at any time.
By the entrance of the mansion, Lei Quan exuded a quiet confidence and charm that drew people to him like a magnet. His sharp jawline and chiseled features were softened by a warm smile that lit up his face, making him approachable and friendly.
His hair was neatly styled, with just the right amount of gray to add a distinguished air to his otherwise youthful appearance.
He was dressed in a stylish suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and lean frame. The suit was tailored to perfection, with just the right amount of snugness to showcase his toned physique without being too tight.
To those who knew him, Lei Quan was a force to be reckoned with, a man of action who could be counted on to get things done.
However, from Lei Zhen’s perspective, Lei Quan was nothing but a coward who refused to assist his elder brother, Lei Touming.
As Lei Zhen walked closer and finally only 2 meters apart from each other, their eyes met, and an intense atmosphere erupted on the scene.
“It’s been years since we have met eye to eye, right, nephew Lei Zhen?” It was Lei Quan who made the first greeting as he smiled briefly at Lei Zhen.
