MMORPG: Crowd Control - 226 Cleared
Right after everyone praised him half-heartedly, Candice and Jessica began chugging down those stats-increasing potions to raise their stats temporarily.
Although the ground beneath them wasn’t as tough as the walls that barricaded them, it was still tough to break nonetheless.
Therefore, these temporary stats would help them tremendously and save them a lot of time from casting more spells than needed.
And seeing these women chugging the potions down like some thugs, almost as if they were some alcoholic, Lei Zhen was a bit terrified.
‘Why do they all make it seem like they are drinking beer?’ He wondered silently.
Nevertheless, he kept silent about it and had no intention of bringing the matter forward. Just because he couldn’t handle his alcohol, doesn’t mean the others couldn’t handle it.
Sometime later, once they finished drinking the potions, Candice and Jessica began to cast their spell, breaking the hard concrete. To make sure they were successful, Bella also contributed by buffing them as well.
After a few consecutive hits on the same spot, the ground began to crack open, allowing them to know the plan was working quite beautifully.
“Heh, let’s increase our outburst, Candice.” Jessica smiled widely as she began multicasting.
Candice nodded her head as she also increased her power output, blasting the ground into smithereens.
The plan was only possible because of Candice’s high-level spells that were able to penetrate the hard surface itself. If it wasn’t for Candice’s presence, then Lei Zhen was sure that they would have to follow the maze route to pass this stage.
‘Once again, I must give Howard a nice break for finding such a gem in the rough. And to think I almost miss this talent because I could care less about the event. What a blunder that I need to take notes on.’ Lei Zhen thought to himself, his eyes staring at Candice.
While Lei Zhen was grateful to have such an assistance, Candice and Jessica had already cracked open the surface.
“Master, we are ready to head underground,” Candice said excitedly.
“Yes, only less than 15 minutes, but I doubt we’ll need to worry about running out of time.” Jessica smiled as she checked the timer on her quest.
And as usual, Bella nodded her head without speaking much. It was clear that she was not the talkative type compared to Jessica.
“Don’t get too excited yet, Jessica. Wait till we actually complete the dungeon before celebrating.” Lei Zhen warned her kindly.
To celebrate before the actual victory was considered taboo since many factors were still unknown to the play. They could be winning for now, but one mishap could cost them to lose everything.
“Yes, you’re right. I shouldn’t be excited yet when we haven’t completed it.” Jessica didn’t take it to heart and agreed with his words.
“Anyway, let’s continue to head underground, Candice. With our spells, nothing shall block our path.” She then turned to Candice and said cheekily.
“Of course, I’m getting bored of this dungeon already.” Candice smiled and proceeded to use her ice magic to create a passage for them to walk underground.
Meanwhile, Jessica would assist her by using wind magic to force all the dirt out to prevent it from blocking their field of vision and path.
And just like that, Candice would communicate with the wind for a perfect direction of where the exit path was. As for Lei Zhen, he was taking the lazy route as he enjoyed getting carried after coming up with his grand plan.
In less than 8 minutes, they were able to find the exit path. Although they were covered in dirt, it was a great method nonetheless as all of them walked out, officially completing the dungeon and receiving some rewards.
With all that done, Lei Zhen knew it was time to exit the dungeon so he equipped his face mask again.
“Why do you keep hiding your face?” Jessica asked curiously. “It’s not like you’re ugly or anything.”
“I’m not worried about my appearance, Jessica. Magnolia may be a game to you, but to some other people, it’s a profitable business. And what better way is there than to go directly after the person in real life that is playing the game to get rid of competitors?” Lei Zhen calmly explained.
His claim wasn’t biased or anything since it was indeed possible to simply go after the players in their real life to prevent them from ever logging in again.
Things such as player killing in the games were considered outdated and dumb since they could always just wait for the death timer to come back and relevel up.
Who the hell would have the time and energy to constantly monitor them and try to kill them again?
“I see… I shall not pry any further than.” Jessica nodded her head and refrain from asking anymore. She was a casual player so the chance of her being targeted by some big companies was unlikely.

“Well, let’s exit the dungeon now that we have no more questions.” Lei Zhen said, his hand ready to click the exit button on the system prompt that had popped out after their completion.
“Wait a minute, we should at least add each other as friends first. I don’t want to forget about it later on.” Jessica suddenly said, sending a friend request to him.
And to his surprise, Bella also did the same thing, but in a more hidden and subtle manner compared to Jessica.
Scratching his head, Lei Zhen was hesitant to accept their friend requests. Yet when he saw their eager expression, seemingly waiting for his answers, almost as if they were saying you better accept it or we’re going to spend all day long here, Lei Zhen could only sigh and accept their request.
After accepting their requests to become friends, they left the dungeon together, only to be met with a plot that they didn’t expect would occur.
“Hmph, they have finally come out. Brothers, let’s raid them.”
