MMORPG: Crowd Control - 223 High Ground
”Great, why did you have to provoke that unknown voice? Now, look at our current situation. What should we even do?” Jessica was the first one to point her finger at Lei Zhen, almost as if she was waiting the entire time for him to make a mistake.
“Master did the correct thing.” Candice quickly came to his defense and refused to let Jessica blame him.
And as usual, Bella kept quiet and watched the situation unfold without giving her input.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen nodded his head after hearing her blame.
“You’re right, it’s all my fault for provoking the unknown voice. Since that’s the case, then as an apology, I and Candice would retreat and give up the dungeon, letting the two of you shine.” He said in a defeated tone, seemingly ready to exit the dungeon.
“W-Wait, I’m just joking. Haha, who dares to blame our superstar here?” Instantly, Jessica’s behavior changed 180 degrees and proclaimed Lei Zhen as the hero instead.
The change was so fast that even Lei Zhen was in disbelief at how shameless Jessica truly was.
Her mature beauty was all a fraud to deceive others, and her real personality was like this.
“Please don’t leave us alone. I don’t have another shot at completing this dungeon,” Jessica said coyly, wrapping her arms around Lei Zhen.
She was frightened that Lei Zhen would really ditch her and that everything was for naught. And to make sure that he wouldn’t leave, she made sure to lean in real close, using her breast to touch his arm, rubbing it as well.
Lei Zhen was speechless at her action and struggled his way to free himself.
“Whatever, just hurry up and drink some of your mana potions. We ain’t got time to idle when these Bellsarus are already locked in on us.” He said, pointing his finger at the swarm of Bellsarus.
From all sides, at least two or three Bellsarus were ready to rush their way toward them. Their horns were glowing brightly and Lei Zhen was sure that they were going to choose the most straightforward method to attack them.
They are going to brute force their way toward their defense and kill them swiftly.
“Candice, cast an ice field around us to make the ground slippery. Jessica, cast a tornado that would lift all of us in the air. We’ll need to make sure that the Bellsarus can’t just ram at us.” Lei Zhen whispered softly to them.
“Understood, master. I’ll cast it right now.” Candice quickly began maneuvering her hand and injecting mana into her staff. Her surroundings quickly turned colder as the ground started to freeze.
As for Jessica, she began casting a great tornado with them at the center. The wind produced by the tornado spread the icicle field rapidly, making it extremely slippery to walk in.
The Bellsarus that was charging at them slipped one by one as they fell hard on the ice, taking some damage in the meantime.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen and the rest were levitated in the sky, preventing the Bellsarus from being able to target them.
This was the weakness of a melee-type monster that had no long-range attack. Once their enemies went to the sky, there was nothing else they could do except look up helplessly.
And gamers usually call this strategy of getting the high ground to kill the enemy.
“Hahaha, I bet that unknown voice announcer that is currently watching might puke in anger. So what if he sent an army of them? If they can’t attack, then they are nothing but useless pieces of meat, ready to be butchered.” Lei Zhen laughed wildly, clearly taunting the unknown person.
“You are really a shameless man,” Bella couldn’t help herself any longer and said her honest opinion. She had never seen such a shameless man in her life that was able to be such an annoyance to others.
Nevertheless, she was also amazed at Lei Zhen’s intelligence to quickly use the environment and the people around him to his advantage.
Sometime later, all the Bellsarus that were rooted in the ground were annihilated with none of them being able to deal a single damage to their group.
“Ahh, I’ve never encountered such a situation where I’ll only need to drink mana potions to recover my mana, and zero healing was needed.” Jessica smiled brightly as she retracted the tornado, allowing them to safely land on the ground that are now filled with corpses.
“Indeed, this was quite unexpected,” Bella murmured, her eyes staring at the back of Lei Zhen.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen glanced at his surroundings, especially the Bellsarus corpses.
Since these corpses didn’t disappear and remained in the field, Lei Zhen instantly flashed a wicked smile and commanded Candice to collect all of them.
These were his battle loot and he would be damned if he let them go to waste.

“Hey, the unknown person that is probably watching in rage right now, can you hear me?” Lei Zhen screamed aloud and asked in concern.
“Don’t just disconnect yet and begin the next wave already. I’ll still need to earn some more money to buy equipment. So please do me a favor and summon more.”
A few minutes later, there was still no response and Lei Zhen began to wonder if he taunted too much.
‘No way the person actually rage quit and calls it a day, right? He can’t be that petty enough to trap us here even though we pass the stages, right?’ Lei Zhen was afraid that the person might really try to play dirty and refuse to let them advance.
It wasn’t just Lei Zhen getting these feelings either since Jessica was also worried that the unknown person was furious at their conduct.
“What are we going to do now, Lei Zhen?” She turned toward him and asked.
Unknowingly, she didn’t even realize how much she had begun to rely on him for any type of scenario.
