MMORPG: Crowd Control - 222 Round One
Jessica’s timely words couldn’t be any more flawless when the sudden announcement commenced as soon as she finished yapping her mouth.
Thus, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the other three would glare at her, almost as if she was a spy for the enemy.
“Are you really Jessica or a doppelganger recreated by the dungeon to screw us over?” Lei Zhen asked sarcastically.
“Your timing literally made you look extremely suspicious.” He added.
Candice nodded her head in agreement.
“We should vote her out of the vent and let her rot.” She said jokingly, clearly enjoying the opportunity to tease Jessica.
During the time Lei Zhen was gone, she had a great time chatting with Jessica, and their relationship also slowly increased by quite a margin.
Thus, she was comfortable with teasing and joking with Jessica now.
As for Bella, she kept her usual silence but had her head nodding up and down, seemingly agreeing to the suggestion of kicking Jessica out of the party.
“No, please don’t do this to me. I’m sorry,” Jessica covered her head with both her hands, acting like a wronged innocent woman.
“Okay, enough joking and playing around. The gate is opening so we should be prepared. And Jessica, stop acting already. At this point, I might really believe you are some famous actress.” Lei Zhen said, taking out his weapon from the inventory.
Meanwhile, Jessica stuck her tongue out playfully and retrieved her wand as well. It was clear that she didn’t really feel wrong, but was prone to acting.
As the four of them patiently waited for the gate to slowly open up, Lei Zhen suddenly shouted.
“Fire all your spells at it right now before the gate completely opens. We’ll be a fool to wait for it to come out and run amok.”
Although astonished by the devious command of Lei Zhen, everyone was still a veteran player despite their actions and behaviors.
Therefore, everyone quickly fired their spell before the gate even opened up halfway, causing a huge amount of dust to pile up.
Some might call them shameless for firing when the enemy wasn’t even ready, but in Lei Zhen’s book, this was the best strategy.
Only a fool would let their enemy prepare their weapons and try to fight honorably.
This isn’t an honor duel anyway, but a fight. A fight in that only the winners matter while the losers can sulk all day long and not a single person would care about them.
With the barrage of spells targeting the gate, a loud shrieking sound could be heard.
“Nice, keep it going, and don’t stop. Make the Bellsarus die before even taking a step into the arena.” Lei Zhen shouted, casting Rupture to narrow the path and Decaying Poison.
Candice and Jessica held zero strength back as they both fired the strongest spell possible in their kit. As for Bella, she was buffing everyone’s attack and dexterity, allowing the DPS to hit the maximum range.
A few more seconds later, the gate completely opened, and to no one’s surprise, the Bellsarus which looked like a humongous bison collapsed to the ground without being able to attack once.
“Heh, easy work.” Lei Zhen smirked coldly when the monster couldn’t even make a single move.
“Indeed, how come no one ever thought of doing this? I’ve seen most of the time, people would just wait for the gate to completely open before showing a dreadful look.” Jessica tilted her head and said in a confused tone.
“That’s because people are simply too dumb to react to any sort of scenario. They don’t even know what hit them until they see it with their naked eyes first before being able to make any judgment.”
“Master is absolutely correct. Humans always react extremely late, but somehow always survive because of some external factors.” Candice nodded her head and agreed with Lei Zhen’s statement.
Just when they were conversing about how easy the first opponent was, the announcement voice echoed once again. This time, in a completely inaudible tone, almost as if it was angered by the outcome.

With this barrage of questions that caused the ground to tremor, Jessica was frightened and subconsciously hid behind Lei Zhen’s back.
As for Bella and Candice, they remained nonchalant to the angered tone, but silently, their body was shaking quite a bit because of the voice that seemed to have some sort of special effect.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen snorted coldly as he stepped forward and glanced at the sky.
“So what if we kill the Bellsarus like that? Never once did you state a rule that we must wait until the gate is fully open before we could attack. Instead of blaming us for finding a loophole, you should be ashamed of yourself for setting this up without any instructions.”
“UGH!”
Although that was the only reply sound they heard, it was clear to them that this unknown voice was clearly frustrated at the fierce comeback of Lei Zhen.
After all, Lei Zhen’s points were all logical and within reason.
“What? Cat got your tongue? If you have nothing else to say, then open the next stage for us. We ain’t got all day here to listen to your grumbling tone who won’t even reveal his face to us.” Lei Zhen sneered coldly, crossing his arms and acting as if he was a mafia boss.
“Hmph, that was only the first opponent anyway. It was merely a test to see your skills. But since you got a lot of saliva in your mouth, then try to withstand a swarm of Bellsarus.”
“Tsk, as expected of some third-rate character. That’s the best comeback you could have thought of?”
“Try surviving it first because talking trash to me, puny humans!”
And with that said, the unknown voice disappeared and the arena began opening all the gates from all sides swiftly, almost as if it was afraid of Lei Zhen committing the same scenario of attacking them straight away.
