Chapter 331: Memoir Of The Past: Reviving And Killing (part-2)
Time had stopped flowing for all members of the alliance of evil present in the rose garden.
Noticing that, Eldwin, without feeling afraid, “confronted” them.
He rushed at them, holding his own head in one hand and the sword enchanted by Damien’s divine energy in the other.
He was like a dullahan, one that lacked a horse.
“You bastards treated me like your toy and broke me limb by one before cutting off my head. But now you are like pigs in a cage waiting to be butchered. It’s ironic how the tables have turned.”
Eldwin reached close to the last three who had murdered him and swung the sword with all his might in a horizontal line. One of them was a hairy rebel with an unkempt brown beard and a receding hairline. The one beside him was wearing a mask, which showcased that he had sworn allegiance to Chaos, belonged to its faction, and was a chaotic being. The last one looked like a peerless woman, but it was actually a crimson mage disguising herself as a top-notch beauty. Her true form was no different than a corpse infested with worms and bugs.
Eldwin cut into their necks with the divine sword, severing their heads from their bodies.
With one move, he made three heads fly.
Thud!
Blood spurted from the headless corpses as they fell to the ground like broken dolls.
“I am no match for them in a fair fight. But this is hardly a real fight. They are like fish out of water. No, they are more powerless than one.”
The rebel had died, but not the other two. He sliced and diced the chaotic headless being into pieces, crushed all its inner organs, and mashed its brain with ferocious stomps. Only after that did he focus on searching the life source of the crimson mage. He found it soon after. It was hidden behind her ribcage. He yanked it out and crushed it. As a result, the crimson mage lost her body, degrading into a rotting corpse with a putrid scent.
He walked past it and continued killing one bastard after another, reducing the number of enemies.
Meanwhile, Damien was busy resurrecting his people.
“I was able to guide them back from the unknown using my divine power.”
Damien’s divine power, which he had inherited from the stars, came from two different sources. The first one was the Water God, and the second one was the Forefather of Dragons. They were noble even among divine beings. That was another way of saying that Damien’s divine power was anything but ordinary. It was of the highest grade, extremely pure and destructive but also creative.
It had shaped into a pillar of light that connected the realm of the living with the unknown when he desperately tried to revive his dog. This pillar could drag the soul back from the unknown and bring them to him.
It suddenly flickered in and out of existence, becoming illusory. It was like an illusion that could disappear at any time. Damien gasped. He wanted this illusion to continue until he was able to revive everyone who had died because of him.
“I should be able to guide the other back, too, if I sustain this pillar of light.” He thought.<novelnext> </novelnext>
The sight of the disappearing pillar fell into his eyes and he immediately acted, pouring his divine power into it without any hesitation.
The amount of divine power surging out of his hands and pouring into it would make anyone green-eyed. Even Gods would fight for the milky white divine power. After all, although it wasn’t nourishing enough to alleviate them to a higher state of existence, it was powerful enough to be used as a weapon to kill other Gods.
When Damien poured 2/3rd of it into the pillar of light, it became corporal and guided the soul of the ones who had recently died in the rose garden back to the living realm.
Damien revived the knights and mages, as well as the attendee who meticulously took care of his every need, one by one. As a result, dozens of people rose from the dead. They were flabbergasted by what was happening around them.
Their jaw dropped to touch the ground as the first thing they saw after getting revived was the sight of the captain of the noble guards, who had sworn loyalty to Damien, easily killing one member of the Alliance of Evil after another.
Actually, they were not confused because of that.
They were confused because it seemed like the members of the alliance were allowing themselves to be killed by the Noble Knight, Captain Eldwin.
“How can this happen? I remember being overwhelmed by them in seconds. They aren’t something Captain can take down so easily.”
“Look again. He isn’t fighting them. They are allowing themselves to be killed by him.”
“It does look like he is going around and breaking statues. Maybe they have done so much evil that God cursed them, and they lost their mind.”
“Maybe we are really dead, and this is all fake.”
“This is all real.”
The recently revived member of the Baldwin noble household looked around and saw their young lord, Damien, smiling at them.
One of them pointed at the miracle that was taking place and asked him, “Then how do you explain this?”
“It’s not that they aren’t intentionally fighting back. It’s just that they can’t. I have stopped their time. They can’t move, nor can they process what is happening.” Damien answered him.
With this, Damien cleared their confusion. But they were so taken aback by what he said that their eyes widened to the size of saucers in shock. He was a frail and hardworking boy not too long ago. Just when did he become strong enough to control time and make others be frozen in time?
“Young master, it looks like you have encountered a great fortune. Congratulations.” Darelene Grummer said to Damien.
