344 Memoir of the Past: Intermission (part-6)
“After years of harvesting souls, you have only become this strong. If I were you, I would have smashed my head on a wall and killed myself.”
He roared, and his horns released powerful beams that blasted apart the tentacle-like sturdy legs.
“You don’t have the right to say that. You are alive only because of that damn old fool. If he hadn’t gotten in the way, I would have killed you decades ago!” Chaos snapped back.
Ishtaq said, “I’m glad you reminded me of what happened back then. Forty years ago, you killed my brother. And a few years ago, you killed my disciple. Old and new scores will be settled today!”
Although he was approaching Chaos in utter silence, it felt like volcanoes were exploding, bringing an end to the world.
“What are you getting so angry for, you bastard? Didn’t you take your revenge by killing everyone involved? I haven’t even held you accountable for destroying my headquarters and annihilating 1-10th of my forces.” Chaos said.
“It’s not that you didn’t want to.” Ishtag scoffed, “It’s just that you can’t.”
“Congratulations, you fucking pissed me off.”
An immense amount of chaotic energy burst out of its veins, gathering above its head in the shape of a cloud.
This cloud condensed into a ball the size of a football in the blink of an eye.
“Have a taste of this.”
Chaos grabbed it with its legs and hurled it at Ishtag.
“No, thank you.”
Ishtag had fiery red eyes. They were below the crown made out of his horn, and fire burst out of them. The temperature soared as what seemed like a sea of fire invaded the realm and devoured the small fire.
Boom!
After a huge explosion, Ishtag closed the gap between them in a flash. His mouth was full of long sharp teeth, and he had talons that looked like the fire claws from a moment ago. He grabbed it, pushing his talons deep inside it and stopping it from running away.
“Kuagh!”
Chaos roared in pain.
But that was just the start of its misery.
What followed after he had it immobilized was far bloody.
He bit the fuck out of it, sinking its teeth into the brain. Its exoskeleton shattered when it came in contact with Ishtag’s teeth.
He didn’t hesitate to chomp off half its fucking face and let brain matter and acidic blood splash everywhere.
“Fuck off!” Chaos slammed him with all its legs, throwing him off.
But Ishtag looked like he wanted more, and he immediately went towards him.
To the surprise of the onlookers, Chaos took off while uttering curses.
“No, thank you,” Ishtag repeated the same sentence like a gentleman and chased after him like a maniac or a serial killer.
He had two pairs of wings.
He used one pair for flight and the other pair to grab its legs.
“Come here!”
He dragged Chaos towards himself. It struggled ferociously to escape his grasp, but his wings were like the strongest chains, putting all its resistance to shame and dragging it all the way to the maw of death.
He chomped down on it again. This time, he bit off more than he could chew and spat out the rest lest he gets indigestion. Chaos didn’t sit still, either. It stabbed him with its legs. Getting attacked once or twice didn’t do much. But when he was hit in the same place several dozen times, his scales cracked and shattered, and its legs punctured holes in him.
“You crazy maniac!”
But he didn’t let go. He was bleeding. His precious scales have shattered. He was getting injured. But he didn’t stop biting the shit out of it. It was getting destroyed and ravaged far more rapidly than it was healing. And that caused it to panic!
At this moment, Chaos realized that there was a mountain beyond a mountain, and there was someone far crazier than itself in this world!
“Fucking let me go.” Chaos opened its mouth to release the blast inside it.
“As you wish.”
Ishtag kicked its mouth close and used his tail to smash it away.
Boom!
He heard a muffled explosion and saw its head exploding, a mess of blood and flesh falling everywhere. It was quite clear that it had exploded in Chaos’s mouth, leading it to lose its head. It didn’t die and was rapidly healing from its injuries.
“Now’s the time to take action!” Ishtaq commanded.
Dozens of figures stepped out of the void. There were four teams in the air, and each one had a magic canon. They poured their mana or aura into it, causing it to light up. Milky white particles gathered at its tip, where they fused into a massive blast shaped like a ninja star!
“The magic canons have been powered up!” They reported to Ishtaq.
Arnard felt awed by this scene. “This is my first time witnessing so many wandering knights in a single place. Did he mobilize all of them?”
“He is the leader of the organization, and his hatred for Chaos runs deep. It’s highly likely that he did.”
“Launch!”
Following his command, the wandering knights blasted Chaos with magically powered cannons.
Each blast took away a massive part of its body.
At this moment, Chaos only had one thing to say.
“I have royally fucked up!”
Just when it was about to be blasted to death, Chaos shouted at the sky, “Save me, and I will accept your deal. I will willfully serve Death as my master!”
A coffin happened to drop down from the moon at this moment.
It opened up, revealing a vortex.
“Jump into it, and your life will be saved.”
An old voice sounding similar to the one belonging to a broken recorder was heard by everyone.
For a second, the eyes of the wandering knights blurred.
Chaos jumped into it without a moment’s hesitation.
Ishtaq and the Water Celestial tried to stop it but failed.
The only thing they caught was the coffin that was returning to the moon.
When they opened it up, no signs of Chaos could be seen.
Even the Vortex was gone.
