Chapter 456: 455, Detailed Strategy for Manifestation Task_1
The second [Illusion Duel] officially kicked off at 8 pm.
By 7 pm, the squares of all the main cities were already crowded with players.
Everyone was standing in the square, discussing the insights they gained from the last Illusion Duel with their peers.
Last time, everyone participated without even understanding the rules, many went in confusedly, and then were thrown out in the same state.
But this time, it was different.
Many players had made ample preparations for the illusionary dungeon.
In the dungeon, players cannot use health potions, buff potions, glide packs, and other items. However, they can use skills attached to their equipment and jewelry.
Therefore, many players prepared equipment and jewelry that could increase moving speed, release a protective shield, provide short-distance dashes, and release controls, all to achieve a good score in the dungeon.
Looking at last time’s rewards, it would be quite profitable to win just once!
As for cheating, players generally did not have such a notion.
Firstly, upon entering the illusionary dungeon, the illusion would forcibly alter the players’ shape and height while covering their name tags, making it hard to cheat. Secondly, the number of participants in the Illusion Duel was just too many!
According to the information leaked by the officials, this Illusion Duel would open up connections to different dimensions, that is to say, players from Huaxia Nation would be competing with players from all around the world. Nearly 3 billion players worldwide would participate in the same environment, striving to become the ultimate champion… no, the ultimate King!
Finding a target who would deliberately lose in a crowd of 3 billion was almost impossible.
So, no one even thought about cheating.
…
Just as everyone was eagerly preparing for the Illusion Duel, someone suddenly shouted in the square:
“Everyone, look quickly! Boss Ke has posted on the official forum! And it is a very long post!”
“Oh? Boss Ke posted something?” The players who heard this were quite surprised.
Boss Ke never posted meaningless threads in the official forum; his posts were usually lengthy and full of valuable strategy guides.
New players entering “Evolution” were usually led by their seniors to thoroughly read every strategy guide written by Boss Ke. Each guide had been read by over 1 billion players.
Now that Boss Ke had posted, of course, they had to take a look immediately!
Players quickly opened the game’s built-in official forum to check the post.
Sure enough, Nemesis had just published a long post titled “Detailed Guide to the Level 50 Power Manifestation Quest”.
There was also a disclaimer attached: Predictions may vary from actual situations, please adapt accordingly.
Seeing the post’s title, the players were instantly excited!
At this stage, what players are most concerned about, other than the Illusion Duel and the new expansion update, is the issue of power manifestation after reaching level 50.
Although currently, there are not many maxed-out level 49 players, considering all players nationwide, it would still tally up to ten or twenty thousand readers.
However, as time goes by, almost everyone will reach the stage of level 50 power manifestation, and everyone is naturally very concerned!
Upon opening the post, this was what was written:
After reaching level 50, you can go to the Mogu’shan Palace of the Pandamen Empire, find the Starlight Dragon Ilagon to start the manifestation quest.
The quest is divided into 10 stages, and completing them all will allow you to manifest your power in reality.
The first 5 stages of the quest are fairly simple, comprising of common tasks such as monster hunting, gathering materials, and slaying elite monsters. If you have a flying mount, you can complete these tasks within 15 minutes.
By stage 6 of the quest, the difficulty spikes.
The sixth stage requires one to kill a wilderness boss to gain a quest item, and the boss varies for each player.
You can call for help from your guildmates or Mercenary Corps friends. On average, a team of about 20 players with level 45 can defeat the quest boss. If you are a solo player, you can seek help from other solo players, or seek assistance from the related guilds.
As for the time it takes, it should be about half an hour if you have enough hands on deck.
Stage 7 is the most hated decoding task.
Ilagon will throw you into a special scene; it could be a dusty, web-filled cabin, a filthy sewer, or even a fog-filled jungle. You have to collect decryption information within the scene to decrypt the code.
This decoding task is not particularly hard, you can seek help from decoding experts in the forum during the quest. For an average intelligent person with some patience, you should be able to solve it in about 50 minutes.
Stage 8 is navigating through a maze.
Remember to bring paper and pen before you enter the maze; this will greatly reduce the difficulty.
Of course, some people think that as long as they follow one wall of the maze, they can always find the exit. This is indeed true, but there are lots of monsters and traps in the maze. You might get killed by the maze boss before you even find the exit.
Getting through the maze should take about an hour.
Stage 9 is Battle Chess strategy.
Battle Chess strategy is a built-in mini-game in “Evolution”, and I believe many of you have come across it during quests.
For this task, I recommend you to purchase a book written by my friend Tina Garcia, called “Battle Chess Analysis Guide”. Casually flipping through and operating according to the practical cases provided in the guide, you should be able to complete this stage of the quest with a significant probability.
Stage 10 is the highlight of the quest and also the hardest part of the entire quest.
The task involves 30 single-person dungeons, players will be randomly teleported to one of the dungeons, kill the final boss and obtain the [Badge of Courage], and then you can proceed with power manifestation.
Next, I will elaborate on the tactics for each dungeon.
The first dungeon [Azeroth Jungle].
This dungeon has four bosses. The first boss is a giant red bird. You must target its eyes. Hit its left eye 7 times and its right eye seven times to pass the stage. Attacking other parts is utterly useless and would just waste your DPS.
The second boss is a giant three-headed snake. Each head of the snake can shoot frost, toxins, and flames respectively. According to my predictions, the toxin debuff should never exceed 3 layers. If it does, abandon the dungeon, don’t bother fighting the bosses behind. For this boss, first, use regular attacks against the fire head, then go all out against the toxin head before finally dealing with the frost head.
Between the second and third boss, there is a hidden cave which has a [Brilliant Treasure Chest]. It can give out class-specific equipment and enhancement potions, so don’t miss out on it.
Third boss…
The second dungeon, [Ruins of Mukalin]…
The third dungeon, [AzureDragon Zenith Monastery]…
Just like that, Su Yu wrote a very detailed guide to the manifestation quest, covering tens of thousands of words.
These were all summations collected painstakingly by the elites in his past life. Each point was precious, the distillation of countless players’ enormous sacrifices.
I hope this guide can help players avoid detours on their path to manifestation.
