“How does it feel? Is your bone aching?” Bai Jingqing asked.

Gu Qingxin nodded.

“We need to take an x-ray to see if the bone is damaged.” Bai Jingqing said, before grabbing the disinfectant to clean her wound.

“It’s going to hurt a bit. Just bear with it.”

Gu Qingxin nodded again.

Bai Jingqing called in a nurse for assistance, and together they held her hand steady as Jingqing cleaned the wound himself.

Gu Qingxin wept with pain. Bai Jingqing glanced at her occasionally, “There are all kinds of dirt on a shoe heel, it must be thoroughly cleaned.”

Gu Qingxin didn’t have the energy to nod. Bai Jingqing could only work more quickly to lessen her discomfort.
