The Great Five Elements Divine Light, at the Return to Void Realm, is already a peerless Divine Power. Throughout the history of the Five Elements Immortal Sect, there have been numerous Saint Heirs with Saint Tao Fetuses who cultivated such Divine Power at the Return to Void Realm. Afterwards, they were not only rare opponents in their own tier but even waged cross-tier battles, defeating Marginal Unity cultivators and Left Path Great Powers, becoming a popular topic of the time.
By comparison, how was the Five Elements Divine Light initiated by Xu Yang with the power of White Jade Capital?
Naturally, it was even better!
Not to mention the assistance of external perks like Skill Characteristics, the Divine Power itself, combined with the Dao of the Five Elements and the principles of the void, plus the Immortal Spirit Mech Armor, and the foundation of myriad weapons. Such an activation of the Great Five Elements Divine Light, although not yet reaching the Innate level, had nonetheless surpassed the conventional Great Five Elements Divine Light.
With this Divine Power, even if Xu Yang were to impersonate a Saint Heir of the Five Elements Immortal Sect, few could find fault with him.
The Immortal Sect’s Saint Heirs could battle beyond their Realm against Integration cultivators, and so could he, even defeating them in battle.
Unfortunately, this only applied to Marginal Unity cultivators and Left Path Great Powers. Those born in the sacred lands of the Immortal Sect with Integration Great Power were not included in this list. This is because they too possessed peerless Divine Powers. Even if not as profound as the “Void Great Five Elements Divine Light” of White Jade Capital, they wouldn’t be far behind and could at least ensure an undefeated status.
If even those at Integration tier were like this, there was even less need to mention the Mahayana Realm. Facing the Holy Lands of the Immortal Sect, he still belonged to the weaker party.
Therefore, he had to avoid their sharp edge. After taking down this person, he would escape with the method of wind and thunder, heading straight south.
In the Great World of Cultivation, which was at its zenith, there existed the concept of fortunes, residing within all things, primarily categorized into four types: “Heaven, Earth, Human, and Objects.
Humans are talents, objects are treasures; these need no elaboration, with the Saint Tao Fetuses of the various sacred places and their treasures as examples, suppressing the fortunes of their Sects and flourishing their legacies.
As for heaven and earth, they are easy to understand; they are the spirit veins, the foundations. The better the spirit vein lands occupied by a Sect, the more prosperous its fortunes will be.
Therefore, all the famous mountains and great rivers in the central part of the Northern Domain, lands of outstanding people and spiritual aura, have been occupied by the sacred lands and their branches. Unless one joins their fold and looks up to them, it is virtually impossible for Loose Cultivators and small Sects to survive.

Xu Yang next sought to find a place to settle down and fully develop himself by relying on the “Farming Great Law.” Certainly, he could not go to the central part of the Northern Domain, where he would be subject to the constraints of the major sacred lands.
Fortunately, out of the Great Dao 50, Heaven evolves forty-nine, the major sacred lands also understand the principle that actions must not be absolute and fortunes must not be exhausted. So, outside of the central part, there are four vast borderlands designated for the survival of Loose Cultivators and other Sects.
These four vast borderlands correspond to the four directions east, west, south, and north, and are respectively known as Eastern Abyss, Western Barbarians, Southern Sea, and the Northern Region.
Among them, the Northern Region is a desolate land with thousands of miles of ice and extreme bitter cold. The Eastern Abyss and Western Barbarians are bordered by the two tribes of demons and are always on the verge of breaking into war.
Only the Southern Sea is relatively peaceful but is also connected to the Endless Sea; it is said to be a transit point between the Central Region and the other three regions, often suffering from attacks by various demons, strange creatures, and even ancient beasts from the Endless Sea.
In short, all four borderlands are in turmoil.
That’s why the sacred lands leave them as such, allowing Loose Cultivators and smaller Sects to settle there, becoming four barriers to withstand attacks from all directions.
Over time, the four borderlands have become sanctuaries for Loose Cultivators. Many strong figures among the Loose Cultivators have established Sects and schools, gradually evolving into “Marginal Paths and Left Dao,” distinct from the major sacred lands.
Although these Marginal Paths and Left Dao cannot compare with the holy lands of the Three Orthodox Sects, riding on the reputation of “teaching without distinction,” they have also recruited a large number of disciples. Their legacies are extremely prosperous, with a few Marginal Sects and Left Path factions even boasting hundreds of thousands of disciples. Claiming to convene a gathering of tens of thousands of Immortals, they also make quite a spectacle.
With so many people over such a long period, inevitably a few will succeed, and from time to time, a “Marginal Sect Hierarch” or someone of the sort will emerge from the borderlands.
Unfortunately, even a Marginal Sect Hierarch is only at the Mahayana Realm, with not one capable of Crossing the Tribulation for Ascension.
This is the disadvantage of being Marginal: in terms of Law, wealth, companions, and land, they are inferior to the Three Orthodox Sects and the major sacred lands. Coupled with the subtle differences in fortunes, cultivators from Marginal origins have always been weaker than those from Orthodox origins, which applies even at the Mahayana tier. Not only is the thunder tribulation difficult to cross, and ascension to immortality is hopeless, but their combat power is also far weaker than that of the Mahayana cultivators from the Immortal Sect holy lands.
Despite this, the major sacred lands still oppress Marginal Sects from time to time, either supporting, instigating, or directly taking action under the pretext of “Demon-Exterminating and Guard of The Dao,” preventing those Marginal Sects and Left Path factions from uniting the borderlands.
Up until today, the four vast borderlands remain a tangled mess. Marginal Rights and Left Paths, Heretical Daos, and various Loose Cultivators all mixed up, in constant strife. The few Marginal Sects and Left Path factions can only serve as nominal leaders, with virtually no real power over their subordinates, and even their own Sects are riddled with holes, infiltrated by numerous undercover agents from the holy lands of the Immortal Sect.
It’s chaotic, extremely chaotic!
But this chaos is exactly what Xu Yang was looking for.
How else to fish in troubled waters?
Although the four borderlands are not as privileged as the famous mountains and great rivers in the central part of the Northern Domain, which abound with outstanding people and spiritual auras, they are still within the scope of the Great World of Cultivation. The Heavenly Earth Prime Spirits there are quite ample and can even support Mahayana cultivators.
Add to that the weak and meager governance of those Marginal Sects and Left Path factions, it creates a situation where “the emperor’s power does not reach the villages.” As long as one has sufficient strength, it’s possible to seize a territory and develop from there.
These conditions combined were like a courtesan from the brothel, all dolled up and beckoning to Xu Yang with a flirtatious wave, “Sir, come and play with me!”
Therefore, Xu Yang decided to take root in the Southern Sea.
The four great wilderness fronts each had their own troubles, but the Southern Sea’s situation was the best, free from the direct threats of the Eastern Abyss and the Western Barbarians, as well as not as bitterly cold as the northern frontiers.
Hence, the Southern Sea had the largest number of cultivators, as well as the highest civilian population, rightfully earning its place as the foremost among the four great borders. Within it, there were extremely powerful dragons, presenting a situation where three powers equally stood against each other.
Moreover, the qualities of the sea territories matched the “Island Master” and “Dragon Monarch” skill characteristics of the Earth Deities, making it the unquestionable first choice for Xu Yang.
Go to the Southern Sea, find a place, continue being Island Master, farm the land, raise fish, pass on the teachings, educate, grow gradually, and steadily expand. Once strong enough, return to settle the scores with the Big Dipper Immortal Sect and the Five Elements Immortal Sect.
Just as Xu Yang was hurrying to the Southern Sea…
Elsewhere…
Outside Void Spirit Cave Heaven, within the Tianshu Great Array.
An elder sat in the center of the array, asking several Deity Transformation cultivators who hurried back, “What is the situation?”
“To report back to you, Great-Uncle Master, we have searched the surrounding three thousand miles and found no trace of Uncle Master Beiyuan.”
The several Deity Transformation cultivators bowed, their expressions grave.
Hearing this, the elder’s eyelids drooped, revealing a trace of worry, “Just now, Beiyuan sent a distress message; he must have encountered a formidable enemy. The message was cut off instantly, showing that the enemy must be far superior to him. Now, I fear the odds are grim.”
“This…”
The cultivators looked at each other, filled with apprehension and uncertainty.
“Uncle Master Beiyuan has reached the late stages of Return to Void and received your true teachings, Great-Uncle Master. To bring him down, it would take an Integration Great Power from an Immortal Sect Holy Land, but we have searched the vicinity without seeing forces from other sects.”
“It’s true that all the great holy places have gathered in these Barbaric Wastes to the west, but the wasteland is vast. Since the Sect Master laid deceptive arrays many years ago, unless they take direct action to Scour the Court and Sweep the Den, other holy places would not dare to confirm the exact location of Void Spirit Cave Heaven.”
“Could it be the Five Elements Immortal Sect getting desperate?”
“Even if they are our foes from the same Immortal Sect Holy Land, battles are fought openly and honestly. There has never been such a thing as a sneak attack; that would break the rules.”
“The Five Elements Immortal Sect has long held a grudge against our Big Dipper Immortal Sect, and this Void Spirit Cave Heaven is so crucial to them, it is inevitable they might harbor some ill intentions.”
The cultivators conversed, their worry growing amidst their speculation.
The elder shook his head and sighed, “I have already received a message from the Sect. In at most thirty years, the Sect Master and other Supreme Elders will return from the Ten Thousand Star Sea to resolve the issue of Void Spirit Cave Heaven. I didn’t expect Beiyuan to fall into trouble first.”
After speaking, his tone turned cold as he looked at the others, “Pass my command, starting today, no one is to leave the array without my order!”
“Yes!”
The cultivators bowed their heads, answering in a heavy voice.
The elder’s gaze shifted, and he asked again, “Still no news from within the Cave Heaven?”
“None!”
One of them shook his head, saying solemnly, “Communication suddenly stopped twenty years ago, it’s likely related to that person.”
“Thunder Lightning Mana King—Shi Jian?”
“Hmph!”
The elder snorted coldly, “Don’t bother with him, we’ll settle the account in thirty years’ time!”
“Yes!”
