Gu Qiangwei, however, lifted her gaze and continued to smile with an air of calm confidence, “Has Director Qiao never heard the saying, ‘the customer is always right’? Or are you actually expecting me to wait on you?”

The smile on Qiao Muxue’s face immediately stiffened, and her clenched fist tightened even more!

This Gu Qiangwei, she was nothing but a gold-digger who climbed into bed with some rich guy, and now she really thinks she’s the lady of the manor!

Yet, because of the investment, even a fuming Qiao Muxue could only treat Gu Qiangwei with superficial politeness.

“Miss Gu is right.”

The waiter came over, and Gu Qiangwei ordered the most expensive Blue Mountain coffee.

“I wonder if Miss Gu would consider investing this fifty million in Starlight Entertainment?”

Gu Qiangwei sipped her coffee lightly, “I could, but…” She set down her coffee cup, her clear and beautiful eyes teasingly fixed on Qiao Muxue before her, “Are there some accounts we should settle first?”

Qiao Muxue was taken aback, suddenly feeling a bit guilty.

“What accounts?”

“Director Qiao has a short memory for someone of her status. Does President Huang remember?”

She had thought this matter was already in the past, but now Gu Qiangwei was dredging up old grievances.

“Gu Qiangwei, you were the one who offended President Huang, what does that have to do with me?” Seeing her bring up past issues, perhaps fearful her scheme would be exposed, Qiao Muxue immediately lost her temper.

“In all of Starlight Entertainment, there are many who speak English better than I do. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t Director Qiao a graduate of the Foreign Language Institute?”

“You want me to bow and apologize to you?”

Yet, Gu Qiangwei’s face remained undisturbed as she slowly set down her cup and looked up at Qiao Muxue.

“A lowly man?”

Qiao Muxue snorted with disdain, “Isn’t that what it is? Do you really think, as a woman forsaken by her father and despised by her mother, you can marry into wealth and become a lady of leisure? You’re nothing more than some rich guy’s mistress!”

Qiao Muxue crossed her arms, too busy venting her discontent to remember the fifty million investment!

Her words, however, caused a ripple to cross the otherwise calm face of Gu Qiangwei, a pang striking her heart.

So, in the eyes of others, she was someone unloved by her father and rejected by her mother.

Seeing her look downcast, Qiao Muxue thought she had hit the mark and her lips curled up in a smug smile.

Then, as if imparting wisdom, she leaned towards Gu Qiangwei, “Let me offer you a piece of advice. To keep a man like that happy, you have to be skilled in bed, and you also need to watch out for the wife, because one day, if you’re not worn out or dumped, you’ll definitely be killed by his legitimate wife!”
